exterior The structure of Stella Maris is positioned about 50 meters directly above the sea, positioned in a South/Southwest direction. It's position gives one of the most spectacular views of Golfo Paradiso and Ligurian Riviera, which on a clear day, one can see the coastline almost up to France (over 100km away). You can comfortably enjoy from your room the beautiful sunsets and romantic nights illuminated by the light of the moon reflecting on the mirror of water that surrounds us.
The restaurant is composed of two environments, one in the open with a terrace, verandah and garden and the other an indoor room.
From April till mid-October mainly the outdoor part is used. With a splendid view of Golfo Paradiso and the Ligurian Riviera, it's ideal for romantic candlelight dinners.The candlelight atmosphere, bathed in the gentle light of the moon that's resting in the starry sky. Accompanied in the background by soothing music, a dinner on our terrace promises enchanted evenings and tender moments where one can relish great traditional cooking. Our philosophy of cuisine is to offer our guests dishes cooked exclusively with fresh foods that are the best that the seasons offer. We have chosen to value the products of our earth and the traditional Ligurian kitchen, one of the richest and varied in Italy.

Our menus exclude frozen foods and farmed fish.

All the fresh pasta we serve is produced by us.
Our kitchen is mainly based on what the surrounding sea offers us. With our position we can have fresh fish every day caught by the local fishermen and often before they get to the markets of Camogli. Fish such as red gurnard, gilthead bream, ricciole, pagari, occhiate, mormore, bass, dentex, are some that are available. Also there are prawns and scampi so fresh that one can eat them raw.
It's not possible to reach our hotel by car.

How to reach Townhouse Suite Stella Maris

By car
After having left the motorway A12 at the exit of Recco, follow the indications for Camogli.

Reaching Recco there are two possibilities for reaching us, we suggest the second:

The first possibility, apparently the easiest, is to proceed to Camogli, park at the parking area, and reach the dock by foot (which takes about 10 minutes). From there you can take the regular boat service to Punta Chiappa. Also from there our boat service departs.
However, one should know that it is not easy to find a parking space, especially in the summer. Therefore you should calculate from the tollgate of Recco to the port a total of about 45 minutes, keeping in mind that the boats depart punctually in the pre-arranged hours.
The second possibility is, having reached Recco, rather than driving in the direction of Camogli, follow the main road going to S. Margherita Ligure till you reach Ruta. At Ruta turn right just before the tunnel in direction of San Rocco. Before reaching the village there is a good parking area where you can safely leave your car.
Continue South-Southeast by foot till you reach the church of San Rocco (220 meters ASL) and follow the indications for Punta Chiappa. From there one of the most beautiful passages in the Park of Portofino awaits you.
The distance is of around 1900 meters and takes about half an hour. The walk, accessible to everybody is almost completely in descent. It is well signaled and sufficiently illuminated for those arriving at night.

By train
The station of arrival is Camogli S. Fruttuoso.

From the station you will have to go by foot, around 10 minutes in descent, to the port where you can embark on the regular boat service that will bring you to the first stop at Punta Chiappa.

From the port you will also be able take advantage of our boat service.

For one who doesn't prefer to to go by boat the alternative is to reach us by foot.



By airplane
The easiest way to reach us from the airport "Cristoforo Colombo" in Genoa is that to use our Taxi service (Mercedes, air-conditioned), which will bring you to directly to the port of Camogli.

The journey has a duration of around 40 mins. at a fixed rate of € 75,00 - nighttime and/or holidays included.
Alternatively you can use the public Volabus service, with departures every 15 minutes from the hours 06:15 to 23:30 (coming back every 15 minutes from the hours 05:30 to 22:30). That will bring you from the airport up to the train station Genoa Brignole where you can catch the train for Camogli.

The journey has a duration of at least 90 mins with a total cost of €5,00 per head.
Reaching Camogli you will have to direct yourself to the port to embark upon the regular boats that will bring you to the first stop at Punta Chiappa. From the port you will also be able make use of our boat service.
