The administrator offered us another apartments nearby for the same price. It was very sweet! We spent a night alone in a 4-room apartments. P.S. and there is a beautiful pizzeria in 10 minutes walk))

The owner was very friendly, gave us a nicer room for the same price. However, I had trouble finding the Ideal hotel for checkin -- basically go left on the street in front of the train station, take a left to go over the bridge over the train tracks, then follow the signs for the Hotel Ideal. It's a 10 - 15 minute walk to get there, but they are very helpful once you actually make it.

It's surprising not to arrive in front of a hostel door but in front of a private apartment door ! Be sure you have a phone card to inform them you are there ! Otherwise, they are very kind and explain everything in english !

The staff of the hotel were excellent. We arrived extremely late and were able to check in without any hassles. Our room was actually in a separate building to reception (as advertised) and the hotelier drove us there. We didn't need to return to reception to check out, we just left our key in the room. It was located very close to the train station and within walking distance of the city centre (20 mins). Our only complaints would be that it was a bit loud. All the floors are tiled so the noise bounces around a bit. Also, the shower head fitting was broken (in both bathrooms) so you had to hold the shower head yourself.

The apartment is located near to the train station and a fifteen minute walk from the centre. Checkin is at another hotel - a bit of a hastle with bags, but they drove me back to the apartment once I had checked in. For the price, absolutely no complaints.

The rooms are clean and spacious, with a usable balcony with a view of the neighbourhood. The surrounding neighbourhood might be uncomfortable for some, but we never felt threatened or in any kind of danger, even when walking after dark. Bruno, the manager spoke broken English and was very accomodating, even allowing us to store two bags at the hotel for two weeks at no cost, while my wife and I toured northern Italy. There is a shared bathroom area.

Make sure to go to the IDEAL HOTEL to check into this property! No one knows where it is so write that hotel name down. After you find it, the gentleman that runs it is very nice and very helpful. Hotels in Bologna are expensive and while this is not at all posh, it is clean and convenient and very safe. So, unless you are planning on hanging around the room, stay here, save some money, and enjoy Bologna. Again, REMEMBER TO GO TO THE IDEAL HOTEL!!! {Also as a same-sex couple, they were just fine about one large bed - not a problem at all.)

This place is passable. Clean, close to main street and station. Real problem with fact that although its location is 100 m from the station (true) there is no reception there (this is indicated on website) rather it is at ´nearby hotel idealé´ this however is a 10 minute walk away and pardon the pun, ´not ideal´ with luggage and no real direction to this reception. once reception found had limited english. renovation of elevator in building was very noisy.

Il Daily Bed non è altro che un appartamento in un palazzo con due bagni in comune alcune stanze da letto. Abbastanza pulito.

We didn't actually stay at Daily Bed, but at what I presume was a sister hotel not too far away - Albergo Ideale. It had just been renovated, and we had a free upgrade to a room with an en-suite, and for a cheap hotel it had a very big and clean room, an amazing shower, and very friendly staff. And there was a lovely and very local market one street away for breakfast. Highly recommended for those on a budget.
