Excellent hotel, great staff, very helpful. Great location, very clean, very close to tube. Would definitely stay here again.

Best location in London; a hop from St James' Park, Theatreland and the south bank. The hotel was very good, if not exactly my style, quite grand. No dvd player in the room which seems an error. Room wasn't made up until 5pm despite putting on the 'make up room' light. All minor moans though, I'll be rushing back if I can find such a good deal (and we got an upgrade as our booking hadn't been sent through from venere!).

Perfect location, beautiful room and hotel, great service. Absolutely worth the 20 pound cost to upgrade to a river view. Ask for a room on upper floor for best view. We walked everywhere and would stay here without even looking at anything else if we get to return to London. Stop looking. If this is your price range - book it.

I did not have the room expected: booked a superior and had a regular, same price. "View on simple request" is not true, they ignore your request. Booking on Venere is automatically a special price. Surprised, no? Anyway don't ask too much... Very noisy. Horrible welcome. Even the breakfast was a deception. Never again.

We had a perfect 4 day weekend at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in London. Location is fantastic. Tube is 5 minutes away and taxis are either at the door or 2 minutes away. There was one glitch when we arrived. The room we reserved 'executive twin suite' was not available. The first reception desk clerk gave us a very small room with a king size bed but not enough room to even turn around. We did not even unpack and immediately went back to reception and politely asked for a larger room. A different clerk this time immediately upgraded us to a huge suite at no extra cost and apologized!! That is service. Anyway, the brasserie downstairs was quite decent. You can have a nice tea in the afternoon in a relaxed setting. Service was exellent in the restaurant. In general, we found the hotel wonderful and fully intend to return.

TV in shower Sky on TV Central location opp Millenium wheel, next block from Downing street. Fantastic- downside? Reception staff were a mixture of surly and condescending to pleasant!! Breakfast not included in our price £150 but London has great brunch restaurants
