About Val Venosta

The Val Venosta is a ski resort in western South Tyrol. The area is known for the Orler Mountain, the highest in the Eastern Alps, the Stelvio Pass, and the Reschen Lake. The Reschen Lake features a half-submerged 14th century bell tower standing out from the water – a truly timeless beauty to admire.

Useful Ski Info: There are plenty of sports you can try in Val Venosta besides downhill skiing, such as cross-country skiing, tobogganing, ice skating, rock climbing, and snow kiting just to name a few. There are also several towns where to enjoy some après-ski time such as Silandro, Laces, Glorenza and Malles.

Lifts and Slopes in Val Venosta: 6 ski areas, 35 lifts and 140 km (86 mi) of slopes. If you love cross-country skiing or simply want to give it a try, do not miss the gorgeous Three Nations Track Trail which runs close to the Lake Reschen.

Lake St. Valentino is one of the most popular places to visit in Val Venosta. There are trails for biking and hiking around the lake. You can also take a cruise around Lake St. Valentino or hire a fishing boat for a relaxing day on the water.
