Close to the city of Merano, Val Senales is a ski resort in South Tyrol. Thanks to its location on a glacier, the ski season here usually starts in October and ends in May.
Useful Ski Info: On a sunny spot right next to the Finail lift is the Snow park Val Senales, one of the largest terrain parks in the Dolomites. The valley is also great for cross-country skiing, hiking, tobogganing, and ice-skating. Head to Merano for some après-ski local shopping in the cozy historic center of the city.
Lifts and Slopes in Val Senales: 11 lifts, 35 km (21 mi) of slopes. Slopes include 6 blue, 7 red, 4 black. The Schmugglerabfahrt black slope is very popular among expert skiers. A real challenge for experts is also the Teufelsegg black slope, with several icy and narrow stretches.
