Traveler Stories

Why I love Lazio

With historical sites illuminated, I love nothing more than strolling through charming Italian cities in Lazio at night.

At night, Rome becomes a magical place, and I find the glow of the illuminated sites enchanting. Strolling around the city at night also gave me the chance to walk off a three-course meal and the gelato I greedily consumed.

One evening in particular, I ventured to Tiberina Island, browsed through the shops, grabbed some street food and caught a movie playing on the outdoor movie screen during the summer film festival. Although I was only in the Lazio region for a week on my first trip there, I tried to take in as much as I possibly could of this incredible Italian location and its fascinating culture.
