A charming hilly area near the city of Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy, Langhe is famous all over the world for its wide range of white and red wines. Some of the most prestigious wines produced here are the red Barolo and the white Chardonnay.
About Langhe DOC Wines: The white variety such as the Arneis, the Chardonnay and the Favorita are straw-like colored with fresh and delicate bouquets. Dry and balanced wines, they have mouth filling and flavorsome taste with hints of citrus fruit and aromatic herbs. The red ones, such as Dolcetto, Nebbiolo and Fresia are of intense, elegant ruby red color. Very balanced wines as well, they are full-bodied and more vivacious than the whites. With a velvety and harmonious taste, the bouquets are intense and persistent, with hints of blackcurrants and violets.
When it’s best to drink them? A year for the whites, 2-3 years for the reds.
