Where is Laigueglia?: Laigueglia is located in the Italian province of Savona on the coast of the Ligurian Sea. It is about 104 kilometers from Genova and 100 kilometers from Nice, France.

Laigueglia is the perfect coastal village to unwind, with idyllic beaches and hillsides where time stands still.
We went to Laigueglia for our second honeymoon and truly savored this picturesque village with quaint shops and friendly locals. We discovered great restaurants in the village, where we tried fresh seafood antipasti and the world-famous Pesto Genovese.
Our hotel was a short walk from the town’s center. The accommodation was typical of Laigueglia; the courteous owners pampered us, we stayed in bright, sunny rooms and had a great view of the beach. I especially loved the silence of the nearby forest and the cool breeze that rustled through the pines.
Hiking in the hills behind Laigueglia, we discovered a multitude of colorful butterflies! Our walks along the seaside on the way to nearby Alassio, enjoying each other’s company and the salty air, is one of my fondest memories of the place.
One of the most beautiful beaches in Laigueglia, Bagni Ondina is suitable for children and adults. Bagni Ondina is located along the central part of Laigueglia Bay and features fine, golden sand. The ocean's gentle slope in the area makes this portion of the beach more favorable for children and adults who cannot swim. While many people will travel to Laigueglia to take in the Ligurian Sea, there are a number of other things to do. One of the top attractions in Laigueglia is a visit to the Colla Micheri Medieval Village. There is a small church to explore as well as a pub where you can taste the local beverages. This is also the home of the famed explorer Thor Heyerdahl.
Another attraction in the Laigueglia area is Parco Avventura Solleone, an adventure park. Here, brave visitors can move through the pines on an adventure course. You can choose from one of three paths of varying difficulties ranging from one perfect for kids to the more difficult nighttime course.
Laigueglia is an idyllic setting for those who love to hike or go on walking tours. The hilly landscape has several paths, all of which lead to Colla Micheri and the Castle of Andora.
