Courmayeur is a ski area in the Aosta Valley - a charming mix of Italian glamour and great ski terrain. Slopes here cater mostly to the intermediate skiers, but there are challenges for the experts as well.
Useful Ski Info: Advanced skiers can take advantage of the several off-piste tracks and heli-skiing options. Families with children will love the Fun Park in Dolonne just a few kilometers away from the main ski area. Non-skiers will love the Courmayeur’s après ski shopping in its exclusive boutiques located in the heart of the village.
Lifts & Slopes in Courmayeur Ski Area: 100 km (62 mi) of perfectly groomed slopes. Slopes include 7 blue, 15 red, 7 black. The Diretta and Rocce Bianche slopes are great for expert skiers, and so is the off-piste track on the Toula glacier – a real ski challenge!
Skipass Info: The Courmayeur ski pass gives you access to the entire area. The Mont Blanc Unlimited pass gives you access to the Mont Blanc, Chamonix and Verbier resorts as well.

When you're in Courmayeur, you can take snowboarding lessons through the Monte Bianco Ski and Snowboard School or the Courmayeur Ski and Snowboard School. Between these two schools, you'll have access to more than 100 instructors who are fluent in English, German and French.
Snowboarding lessons are available every day that the ski areas are open for business. You can arrange for private lessons with one of the instructors or group lessons. Lessons are available for all levels of snowboarding experience, so whether it's your first time on a board or you just want to refine your technique, there's the right instructor waiting for you at Courmayeur.
While the expert ski runs at Courmayeur are certain to challenge you, the best off-piste trails include Arp Vieille to Val Veny and Dolonne to Pre-St. Didier. You can access these trails from just off the top of the chair lifts when you ascend the slopes.
To ensure your safety while skiing off-piste, the resort recommends that you take an experienced back country guide along with you. When you ski off-piste at the Courmayeur area, you'll be greeted by forested slopes with steep descents and challenging natural moguls. You'll also have an opportunity to navigate rapid turns that will keep your blood pumping for the duration of your adventure.
