Alta Val Pusteria (Puster Valley) is located in the Dolomites, between the Italian South Tyrol region and the Austrian east Tyrol. A paradise for winter-sports enthusiasts, it is home to some of the most famous peaks in the Italian Dolomites, such as the Three Peaks of Lavaredo, the Croda Rossa, and the Cristallo.
Useful Ski Info: The most famous ski resort here is Plan de Corones, which is the largest of South Tyrol with 116 km (72 mi) of slopes. Many sports besides skiing, such as snow-shoeing, rock climbing, and ice-hockey, plus more than 100 km (62 mi) of cross-country ski trails!
