If someone chooses the Swissôtel London because of the view over the river will be disappointed if his/her room is located in a lower floor. Mine was in the 3d floor, and the view was somewhat poor. For my disappointment. Weimar Figueiredo

We stayed here over the weekend of the London Marathon in 2009. The only downside to the stay was that on the Saturday morning workmen started driling at 7:50am outside. Luckily they were nit druillin the next day!! Be warned! Go to Costa for your breakfast as £23 is a tad too much I think.

Although we booked for a single night in the weekend in a room with a courtyard view, we were placed in a river-view room. This was an unexpected bonus which we appreciated very much. The hotel surpassed our expectations. The possibillity of checking in early was also excellent service.

I have been really lucky... I got a good offer and my stay has been great... Good room, very large. The location is good...there are always taxis in front of the Hotel, the Ustop of Tample Place, and you can reach Trafalgar Square with 15 min walk... The employees have been really nice and i've received a warm welcoming as well as i nice goodbye... Next time in London i will stay there again for sure.

Nice hotel at a bargain price (Don't think my wife and I paid the usual price!) Very spacious rooms and nice staff, location very good for people who don't know London so well as it is sandwiched right between West End and City on the river bank. Would recommend to anyone..especially if price is right!

We had a very good overnight stay, very good value for the price that we paid £117.50 per room only. Breakfast seemed to be overpriced, very nice breakfast for much less in Covent Garden five minutes walk away.Staff very helpful.

The hotel is situated just opposite a tube station and in walking distance to covent garden with its theatres. We had a marvellous view over the Themse to the Houses of Parliament and the Eye. The room was furnitured nicely and very well equipped. Breakfast was delicious. Employees were friendly and competent. And the price was ok.

When booking in we were informed that only one room was reserved, fortunately we had a print-out of our booking. Without this we would not have been able to book in. We were informed that the website had mis-informed the hotel when booking rooms. When booking out, the hotel invoiced me for double the amount quoted on web booking form happily we still had our print-out. This was quite embarrasing as we had to argue our case in front of other customers. The hotel dealt with the situation very well, but I think there should be better communication between your website and the hotel.

The hotel had an excellent location, very close to the tube station and at walking distance from Embankment and Covent Garden. Very comfortable room, good beds and good service.

After reading other comments we were very dubious about our visit here. However, after spending just one night here we would definitely come here again and would thoroughly recommend it to others. The tube stop is about twenty seconds away, the West End theatres about ten minutes walk. We were upgraded to a view of the Thames which was absolutely amazing.. the London Eye, Big Ben and the National Theathre all opposite. We couldn't have asked for a better view especially for the price we paid. The staff were very helpful on the occasions we needed them. The rooms were fairly spacious, clean and the bed large and comfortable. Admittedly, the exterior is slightly off putting as it is rather ugly but it is totally different inside. Would definitely recommend this hotel without hesitation.

There was a very warm welcoming and also polite and competent staff at the reception and in the restaurant too. The food in the restaurant (dinner and breakfast) was also excellent and in a nice, quiet atmosphere. Except a young lady when checking out (initals EP) was very inpolite and nervous.

Excellent choice: beautiful river view, underground across the street, large room, all new, everything working. Missing a little bit of charme, though. One remark: internet connection (wireless) is expensive and inadequate in pricing strategy: 15£ per day from 12pm to 12 pm, meaning that if you need to check your mail at 8 am before leaving the room, that excercise will cost about 23 €; also cumbersome, as you have to call reception to have the connection open.
