Hotel Helmhaus - Zurich

Value for money was OK, bearing in mind Zurich is one of the most over-priced cities in Europe. My only complaint is that the price quoted included "breakfast - this was in fact for a continental breakfast. We ordered eggs and were not told there was an additional charge. When I disputed the charge at checkout it was deleted from my bill. I suggest, that to avoid mis-understandings of this type the advertising for the hotel shouls emphasise "Continental Breakfast"."We stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels in other cities in Europe where the tariff included "breakfast" and there was no extra charge for eggs. This may seem to be niggling, but extras should be specified. Taxes were not included in the price quoted either. I suggest your quoted price should include any local taxes.

good location, good facility, breakfast is fine, but little difficult to find hotel at beginning, and feel little expensive ...

Helmhaus is a great place to stay in Zurich, fantastic location, super clean, new friendly staff, will stay there again

Pictures on the site dont give an exact idea about the hotel and its surrounding, Prices seem to be very expansive for this kind of room compared to similar hotels around the See but STAFF is very keen and available to help you.

My first visit to Zurich was made even more enjoyable by staying at the Helmhaus. Excellent location within a 5 minute walk of all the major attractions including the lake, Bahnhofstrasse, Altstadt, the Opera House, and the Art Gallery. Friendly, intelligent staff, lovely room, and a marvellous breakfast. I will definitely stay at the Helmhaus when I return to Zurich.

This Hotel is is very expensive!!!!!!our room was very small,with a very small T.V.,The breakfast was good but very basic ,for the price that we payed ,its can be a little "more".We will not return to this property because the price is very high for a room like we recieved.

The hotel is in a fabulous location in the old town of Zurich. The hotel has great character and a great modern renovation. The staff was very nice and met every request. Out of the 4 hotels we booked in Switzerland during our vacation, this one had the best overall vibe.

The position of the hotel was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. the room was charming and it was a very pleasant stay. we found booking on venere excellent.

This was our first hotel on our long jouney and it left us wishing all of our hotels would be this nice. The rooms were incredibly spacious with hard wood floors. The local was great, but it is about a 1/2 hour car ride from the airport, so make sure you have about 80 francs for the ride!!
