Even though it is not located right in the center, the "secret" passage leads you directly there. We were surprised to learn in Tasch,that you cannot reach Zermatt by car, only by train or by private taxi.

We loved the hotel and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Even though they did not receive a copy of our reservation from Venere.com, they were able to accomodate us with a beautiful room. Would definitely stay there again.

Our general experience in the hotel was fine. There is a nice hot swiming pool and the bed rooms are quite confortable. But the experience with the reception was horrible. When we got to Zermat we had to walk 15 minutes carrying owr luggage to reach the hotel (most hotels pick their guests in Electrical cars but we weren´t). When we arrived the receptionist (a young guy) didn´t know anyting about our reservation so we had to struggle for a room. At last he told us he was going to give us one of the rooms with Matterhorn view, but you had to go to a corner of the room to see it. Later, we went to have dinner and came back about 10 in the night, finding the hotel completely closed and nobody to hear us calling. Finally a very nice lady came out from the hotel across the street, wich is run by the same family, and told us that the receptionist should have warned us about the hotel closing at night (we should have taken the key, but we hadn´t been told). The last day we required to be taken in the electrical car (during our stay we had cheked there was also one car in our hotel but they didn´t use it) back to the train station but the receptionist (a girl this time) told us the driver was on hollyday so it was not possible. We were quite angry because the car was parked right beside the hotel. We went to the hotel across the street in case we found a better service, and surprise... they gladly took us to the train station. Obviously in this hotel the receptionists are undertrained, and next door the staff is something else, so I would prefere to have gone there. The rest of the experience was fine, but I would go elsewere next time.

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.

Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than midday.
