We stayed for 2 nights, and this was one of the best lake-facing hotels in lucerne. Easily accessible by bus right in-front of hotel, which takes to train station in 13-mins. The lake-facing room was awesome during the morning, food was nice as the buffet had lots of varieties including continental, must recommended for all folks

We absolutely loved staying in this hotel! The room was great, staff were lovely and helpful, we had a beatuiful view on the lake, and the food in the restaurant is nothing short of magnificent! We've never tried better. The hotel is only a short drive to Lucerne, and a post office is just across the road. Well worth the money. Next time we are in Europe, will definitely want to stay there again.

very good hotel although a bit pricey, staff very friendly and competent, rooms quiet & clean but rather small, beautiful surroundings, few minutes to Lucerne city centre (also by bus/ship)

First of all, this is a beautiful and lovely place and the service was excellent. BUT, you have to take a bus to go to Luzern. The web site said it had a fitness room - which was the main reason I booked it. It did not. The hotel info in the room said that bikes were available to ride, but when we asked, that was only in the summer. It also said there would be free transportation to and from the train station on your arrival and departure..which was not true either. As far as a getaway to relax, it is fantastic.

The hotel was clean and friendly and set in beautiful surroundings although the interior of the room was basic and it did not have air conditioning. As a 4 star hotel it did not have the facilities of a 4 star hotel in the uk, e.g no indoor swimming pool, gym or tea & coffie in room. You do not get much for your money in this respect but I think the price is reflected on the location which makes up for it
