Very nice hotel. Across the street from train station. Great location in Lucern. Right next to lake. Rooms were very spacious, clean and new looking. Even though right across street from train station you would have not known. Was really pretty quiet.

Old fashioned, stylish hotel situated next to the train station. Extremely clean and neat small single rooms. Unconfortable bed with soft matress. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Rich breakfast.

excellent location close to the railwayst.(we were going skiing so lots of luggage) after the renovation at the hotel, the lobby and breakfast room is very welcoming. the room was good with a big bathroom, the beds were also big and comfortable.we've been here before and we'll certainly be back !!

What a fabulous city! My boyfriend and I stayed in Luzern for one night in Nov. The outside of the hotel looked fabulous, but what a disappointment the room was, very old decor nothing like internet pictures but ensuite was spacious and had a great shower. Had to ask for softer pillows and extra blankets (no extras in room). No english channels on T.V despite same advertised. Breakfast was good. Great location just around corner from train station. Caution for all you shoppers Shops do not open in Luzern on a Sunday!!!.

Very nice hotel in very convenient location. We heard no noise from the railway station even though it is directly across the road. The hotel is a temperance which means no bar and no wine with dinner. Otherwise the food was fine, although a little disorganised at breakfast. There is a large supermarket under the railway station and an excellent bakers.

We were upgraded, which is always a nice surprise. The hotel looks ancient from the outside, but has been completely renovated and very tastefully decorated. Breakfast was really nice as well, although we would have preferred it, if we could have had it unil 11 a.m. since it was Sunday morning. The hotel is very centrally located.

The rooms shown in the pictures are NOT what is offered at the price on the site. Rooms offered at the price on venere.com are MUCH less aesthetically pleasing. I had asked in my email to the hotel to be booked in a room on the site photos, and was told that those rooms are another 17-25CHF / night. That was a bit of a bummer. The desk clerk mentioned that I wanted to "view the deisgner rooms", when I really wanted to book them. He then proceeded to try and "updgrade" me to the rooms shown on the site. Which, if those rooms are extra, if should be noted, or the rooms that are the price shown should be on the website. Other than that, the rooms were spacious enough, and the location was GREAT!

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It's literally 2 minutes from the train station. I've got a giant suitcase but I've no problem to drag it to the hotel at all. Also it is in a walking distance to the old city and the central bus station is just in front of the train station. So, it is extremely convenient in almost everything. The room is quite small (single). But it's perhaps a typical size of swiss hotels' rooms. I'm on the back side of the hotel, so it's completely quiet. Breakfast is above par. All in all, it will be my first choice for any Luzern trip in the future. (Arrange to go during the carnival will be your extra bonus!)

The hotel is very nice, the rooms are very confortable, but the best thing is the location. The hotel is in front of the train station and very close to the major atractions. It is excelent and for a very good price.

We would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect, and the hotel met our expectations in every respect but one: The restaurant is non-alcohol, so we couldn't enjoy wine or a beer with a meal.

This place is in an ideal location if you travel by train. ALthough the lobby is nicer than the room, it's comfortable and fine for a short stay. The breakfast was good, and the front desk was okay, not exactly warm, but nice enough.

We had a very nice night at this hotel, the people are nice, competent and multilingual. I specially appreciated the taste of the decoration. The hotel is conveniently locatad near the railway station. It is a good idea to book a parking with them because the area is not so easy to park otherwhise...

The Waldstatterhof Swiss Q Hotel was in a great location right near the train station. However, rooms facing the street are very loud. The hotel was very nicely decorated and I was very pleased with the hotel itself, especially since it was only a 3 star hotel.

The hotel staff was wonderful here! Super helpful with everything--dinner reservations, lending us an umbrella, storing our luggage. The breakfast was great. The hotel also upgraded our room; why I'm not sure but it was nice.

Hotel is easy to find from the railway station. It is in central Lucern and within walking distance of most of the attractions in the town.The room as clean and comfortable.

The Waldstätterhof was excellent value and for the price paid, was a very clean, comfortable and modern room. The breakfast was also excellent as was the location of the hotel. Only feedback is that the website mentions that parking is available but did not quote that it was an additional cost on top of the room rate. This was reasonable though and overall, we would definitely return to the Waldstätterhof and also recommend it to others.

Susi, Susi's mother and Fritz were very helpful during our stay. Unfortunately, when we arrived they had no record of my reservation. I had printed out the copy from the website reservation. Susi was professional and gave us an upgrade honoring the B and B price. We were fortunate that they had a room available given it was holiday time.

The photographs of the bedrooms on the internet are not indicative of the bedrooms in reality. The photographs are of special/design rooms and the actual rooms are small and blandly decorated - disappointing

Waldstatterhof was a great hotel for being located near the Central train station and also for allowing easy access to the main attractions of Lucerne. We had lots of luggage and it was an easy walk from the station. Staff were very helpful and they had a reasonably priced internet service in the hotel lobby. Our room was plenty spacious and was very comfortable. The river, old town and most attractions were within 15 minutes walk. We definitely would stay here when we return to Lucern.
