Münchnerhof Swiss Quality Hotel - Basel

Location was good, nice staff, it would be nuch better if fan/proper ventilation system present, however it good for winter stay

Stayed in a double room, that was actually just 2 single beds pushed together with 2 blankets. Not very romamtic. Oh and dont ask for any help for reception if you dont want to be sighed at. A good point is the free bus/tram travel provided. A big help.

Perfect, never spoke to a soul - just arrived and our reservation was ready. What a pleasure better than a travel agent. Would certainly use the facility again

Great service by day staff. Night staff were not as knowledgeable about hotel services but were friendly and helpful. Great value for money.

Loud car traffic and street trams, poor ventilation/no air conditioning, no iron/ironing board available. I will certainly look for somewhere else to stay next time.

This is a perfect place to stay during any of the Basel fairs - it's located on the Messeplatz itself. Other hotels with such location in Basel are only the breathtaking Ramada Plaza and Sofitel - but both being 5 star hotels are beyond the reach for most people. The Muenchnerhof is pretty basic, but Swiss-clean, almost sterile. Rooms are quite spacious, fubrishing plain, bathroom modern and spotlessly clean. The person at the reception counter was a wonderful Italian girl, very helpful and warm. I'd say this is one of the best places to stay in Basel in this price range (I paid 116 CHF). In front of the hotel there are 2 tram stops and the central Basel can be reached in around 6/7 minutes.

Good value and no complaints at all. Would use this hotel again if returning to Basel.

I found the Muenchnerhof to be a very pleasant hotel, very friendly staff, with a nice restaurant, excellent breakfast service, very clean, basic rooms.The hotel is in a good location, very close to all public transportation.

Excellent friendly profession services with a family touch.
