Balsamico is a traditional stone-made group of buildings located in the “heart” of old Hersonissos (one of the only three traditional settlings of the area), 23km east from the international airport of Heraklion, 3km from port of Hersonissos , 3km distance from Cretan golf and 3km from the beach.
Balsamico, made of 4 studios, 3 maisonettes and 1 suite combines in total tradition with luxury standards.
All units are fully furnished and equipped with flat TV and DVD player as well as satellite TV. They dispose fully equipped kitchen, safe box, hair dryer, private telephone line and terrace or balcony.
Group also disposes a pool of 45 m2, children’s swimming pool, pool bar, parking space and beautifully green garden.

Balsamico suites are perfect for a quiet, romantic weekend getaway to a traditional Greek quarter away from the chaos down below. The owner Maria, was wonderful in helping us out with suggestions, she was patient and polite, always ensureing that everything was ok. The cute square with restaurants,bakeries and cafe's is enough for a two-day stay. I would definitely return.

The place is in Old Hersonissos, so be prepared to pay about 9 euros for a taxi from Hersonissos port to the old town (or walk for 3 km). We were told upon arrival that Air Conditioning was not included (which can be very annoying in hot weather and was not stated on Venere website). On the nice side, we were given free internet access despite the "hotel policies". Overall it's a good place to stay outside the confusion of Iraklio and Hersonissos port, but you definitely need a car to travel from and to the hotel.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
