Very good location. friendly service, very small room (which is common in the Netherlands, so no real reason to complain about if you stay in an old house like this). The hotel is recommendable for a short stay. Tipp: If you want a really nice breakfast, walk out of the hotel in to left direction, After 25 seconds you will find the Sapori Mondo – with a large variety of great paninis, fresh espresso and more.

Room was not cleaned properly, hairs in the bed on arrival, sheets never changed, rubbish not removed from room eventually I put it in the hallway, beds not completely made, complete lack of attention to detail. Hotel location is quiet, next to a small park and opposite the zoo (no animal noises can be heard). Hotel needs to update its location / how to get here information. Taxi from central station is 15 Euros (5minutes) or take No9 Tram from central station and buy a single (1 hour ticket) 2.60 Euros and get off at the zoo (10 Minutes) and its about a 150 meter walk. Had a great time in Amsterdam although very expensive (6 Euros for a medium lager) everywhere. Museums good value but dont do the Amsterdam Dungeon its rubbish and very expensive for what you get.

The hotel was generally nice, value for money. Artis zoo is nice and it was just across the street. And the tram stop is really close which will bring you to the Dam square in 5 minutes. Recommend generally.

Amsterdam is expensive and this was a decent deal compared to what else was around. The room was very nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. It was a nice quiet neighborhood as well, which after seeing whats going in most of amsterdam on a friday night was welcome.

The room was quoted at 70€ for a single, but once I'd paid for watching a movie plus breakfast, my bill cam to €120. Given that my room was the size of a large cupboard (tiny !!) I thought this was quite a lot to pay. Also my room was on the street, next to the front door of the hotel, so very noisy.

Very expensive for what you got, but given it was Amsterdam on a weekend, it was reasonable i suppose. Breakfast was value for money, with good variety. Hotel was not centrally located, but tram stopped right outside the hotel and was easy to use (once you could push past the people to get off at your stop!) Hotel was very secure after hours with access only for hotel guests by key. Overall, not a bad stay

This hotel is located in a quiet, mainly residential part of Amsterdam opposite the Artis zoo. Amsterdam's famed red light district is about 5mins away by bike, about 10mins by tram (passes front of hotel) or a 15 to 20min walk away so its close enough to not be inconvenient. Besides, I have stayed in the red light district before and do not recommend it because of the noise, especially on weekends. This is a much better location if you cherish your sleep and is a quick walk to rembrantplein which has loads of restaurants and waterlooplein which has a nice outdoor market. The hotel itself is not expensive by amsterdam standards. There were a few problems we had with the hotel. There was a constant bad smell on the level our room was on, although not in our actual room which was clean. The bathroom basin does not give you much room for washing your face and you end up wetting the floor more often than not and the bar fridge had to be opened with a key from reception everytime you wanted to use it which made it entirely useless. We didnt take breakfast at the hotel because it was about 18euro per person which seemed excessive, but having breakfast at the nearby cafes didnt come much cheaper. Overall its an OK place to stay but I might try and stay in a more interesting neighbourhood on my next visit to amsterdam. Very good if you are looking for a quiet stay.

Nice hotel, very well-located only 10 mins on foot from Dam square. Tram stops are just in front of the property. The rooms are just OK, clean with free internet access (although it is not working very well). The breakfast is good, although not included in the price. The employees are OK, some more competent than others.

This was a nice little hotel in a great location. It lies just outside of where all the action is happening. It's a lovely neighborhood and I felt very safe walking there by myself late at night. The tram ran right in front of the hotel which was nice for transportation (although it is just a few minutes walk to the Rembrandt area) but it was a bit loud on the street side of the hotel. Thankfully it only runs till a little past midnight. The bathroom was small, but I didn't spend much of my vacation there so it wasn't a problem. Also, I had no problems with flooding like the other guests had mentioned. Just close the curtain and you're good to go. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. A little pricey but well worth it if you have a long day of walking and sightseeing. The restaraunts around the hotel were excellent....a pizza from around the corner, Chinese at Happy Corner, and a good beer from the cafe. I will definitely reccommend this place to friends and I will defintely stay here again when in Amsterdam.

Nice hotel and gentle employees. Our room was clean and confortable but a little bit too small and noisy. In complex I would recommend this hotel.

This Hotel was a bti further away than indicated - the rooms were quite small and the smell of dope in the hallways leading to rooms was a bit much for me - I would suggest asking for a no smoking floor if it exists. Great coffee shop down form the hotel an the adjacent corner.
