SkyTV at the room was great. The room could have been larger for 3 persons. During our stay at San Silvestro the hotel appeared to be crowded with large groups of senior citizens.

Not a bad place. Checked into a room strongly smelling of smoke due to it being a smoking room. They upgraded us to a non-smoking superior room as a very nice gesture. Internet access somewhat tedious. Very worn, thread-bear carpeting in a generally dated place needing a real update. Room key appeared to access multiple rooms. Nice breakfast. Convenient location but, not good value for the money, and needing a real decorative update.

The first night I stayed in a room really noisy, even with the window closed. The next morning I asked for a change of room, which was given to me immediately, one person from the lobby came to help me move to the other room, that was on the same floor. That room was perfect and quite. The internet on the lobby is only free for 30min in the whole stay. Breakfast buffet excellent. Great location in front of the railway station and few mins walking to the center. Good hotel, I will definitely come back.

Perhaps the furniture in the rooms is slightly outdated but all in all you are given what you are promised. The big plus: it's a 10min walk to the Museo Egizio.

Good hotel. Good location. Good service. Good value. Only suggestion for improvement that I would suggest would be to add fresh fruit (besides apples, oranges, and kiwi) to the breakfast menu for use with cereals, especially in Italy where fresh fruit is so readily available.

We had a one night stay in Turin and the location of the hotel was very good for exploring the city. The staff were very helpful in recommending a good restaurant. The rooms were clean but a bit small. For the price it was well represented. My only critisism is the breakfast was disappointing, tinned fruit instead of fresh and the cooked items were dried up.Praise to the very pleasant barman we met on arrival who went the extra mile. Over all a pleasant stay and would reccomend it to friends and family.

It was our first time at the hotel. Whe enjoyed ours days in Turin and the hotel too. Quiet, close to the city centre, in front of the station, room very clean and quite (#523), good breakfast and gente employees who treated us with competence. Excellent location for shopping and sight-seeing . Excellent team in hotel reception and services ! Can highly recommend the hotel to any traveller . What we didn't like was the pricey parking in a separate garage, and the internet services provided by Swisscom were poor but expensive . ==> Use an Internet Cafe opposite the hotel !

Great location - good bars and restaurants nearby. Short stroll into town and is just across the road from the train station, from where you can get the tram to Stadio Olimpico. The superior room was really spacious and the bed was very comfortable. When I return to Turin I will definitely be staying here again.

The radiator in our room leaked all over our clothes, and the hotel was unable to wash them, so we had to take soaking wet clothes with us to our next destination before we could get them washed. The hotel staff was friendly enough and the location is good, but we've definitely stayed at better hotels in Torino before.

2 nights, 2 mature couples. Overall, we and our friends were really very satisfied with the hotel and with the assistance from Venere. Problem with one room: smell of smoke, was immediately and kindly solved by the staff who transferred us to an excellent and very clean room. The parking doesn't belong to the hotel, but is independent, at about 100 meters from the hotel. It is rather expensive: 24 € per day.

Excellent hotel. Stayed one night breaking rail journey from London to Lake Como. Not cheap but better hotel than much more expensive hotel we stayed at in Milan on return journey. We stayed at Starhotels Majestic for 8 nights January 5th to 13th, 2008. The hotel is perfectly located, right across the street from Porto Nouva train station and an easy walking distance from the center of town. The first room they took us to on the second floor was very small and cheap looking, but when we objected they took us to a 'better room' on the first floor (which, this being Europe, is the floor above the ground floor). This was a much nicer room, with a table with two chairs and a large king size bed (which we had requested). Generally we were happy with the room, and even the free breakfast was more substantial than any breakfast we had at any other hotel in Milan or Florence. The front desk staff were very accomodating and nice and made excellent suggestions for where to eat and made reservations for us quite often. The only problem we had was although our room (indeed the entire floor) was non-smoking, occasionally during our stay one of our neighbors would be smoking in their room and it would definitely enter our room. The other problem was internet access. The hotel did not have free wireless Internet, they had an internet service provided by swisscom which was insanely expensive; 22 euros (nearly 33 dollars) PER DAY for wireless or wired internet access. In this day and age, that's completely unacceptable. In florence we stayed at a hotel which had FREE INTERNET service, so we know it is possible at hotels in Italy.

This hotel is in an excellent location. Near the train station and the bus stop to get you to the airport. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel caters more for your business trip i think than familys. I went with my husband and had a great time. Loads of choice and variety with the breakfast menu. The resturant looked good to but we ran out of days, there is soo much to do in Turin.

The stay was enjoyable. Only drawback to the room was that it was a little too warm - one could only control the heating. As the room faced a main road, opening the windows was too noisy. The breakfast was not too bad overall but the coffee was (unexpectedly) simply awful.

The hotel is very conveniently placed for the centre of Turin which is a lovely and interesting city. We had a very comfortable and quiet room which was very clean and well-serviced. The only complaint concerned the bath tub which was too small even for my wife who is of average build. The staff were very helpful and polite and spoke English. There was a garage at the back of the hotel which was expensive (at Euros 21 per night). We ordered breakfast in the room each morning and it was delivered within the stated time (with prompting). Altogether a very pleasurable experience at a good price (Euros 410 for 3 nights for 3 people including breakfast).

We arrived by night train from Rome very early in the morning and the hotel allowed us to check in at 7:30am which was very nice. The bed was very very comfortable and the room was clean. The ac didn't work well in our room but since our room was on the courtyard we could have the window open without letting a lot of street noise in. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection, much more than a croissant and coffee.

We stayed in this hotel twice: first time we got rooms on 5th floor and they are much smaller because they are on the top. Order rooms on 3rd or 4th floor; they are very spacious. The surrounding is excellent because you are walking distance to most of Turin's attractions. We booked a different hotel for our second stay in the city to compare quality but liked this hotel so much that we decided to cancel the other booking and return to this one.

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The rooms are quite large compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Italy. The bathrooms were well appointed with modern fixures. My bathroom was extremely large (room 223). My friends bathroom was smaller than mine but still large by European standards. Location is excellent if arriving by train, or if you taking the bus from the airport to the train station. It only took a few minutes to walk from the train station to the hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definetly stay here again.

Triple room at the 1st floor very quiet, spacious, well-equipped and furnished. There is no sight on the town. Coffee /tea facilities are really pleasant. Very comfortable bathroom. High-quality continental breakfast, but the choice could be wider. The hotel is very close to Porta Nuova railway station: that allows you to visit the historical centre of Turin on foot. Excellent relationship between price and quality.Definitely stay here again.

Turin was wonderful. Rooms in the property were spacious. The two issues that I had were that the AC did not work well. It was very hot in the room. Secondly, "free-internet" was promised with the reservation which was not the case. To the purchasing the wi-fi service for use was outragiously priced at $22 per day. Most hotels during my 3 week trip offered rates around $7.00. I will return to Turin but not this hotel.

This hotel is excellent. The service is first class, the rooms and the overall hotel is one of the best I have stayed in and better than some 5 star ones I have used. The rooms are quite, very clean, facilities very very good and have air conditioning which is also quiet. Reception is very helpful and the hotel has a nice bar area. The breakfast is first class and service excellent. I cannot fault this hotel and would highly recommend it, if this is the standard of all 'Starhotels' I will choose them without any hessitation. The location of the hotel, for sightseeing the old town, is perfect. Getting to and from the airport couldn't be better. The bus leaves the airport from just outside the arrivals and stops just by the central railway station. The hotel is 150 meters from the bus stop. The bus costs 5 euros each way. To summarise, this hotel is excellent to the highest degree. I would not hessitate in using it again.

I would like to have been informed of the amount of works which are taking place outside the hotel. Due to the safety hoardings around the hotel our view is a bit jaundiced. Owing to the few places to cross the road from the station to the hotel, we found it to be a thief's paradise. One of our members had her passport stolen from right outside the hotel.

The rooms and services provided in the rooms was excellent. Far exceeded my expectations. The staff were very helpful. It is too bad that the city is not improving conditions around the railway station which is a block from the hotel. The service at breakfast was a little uncertain but otherwise I would return in heartbeat, especially at the rates I was able to get at your site for this elegant Turin Hotel.

Great hotel & location. Room was huge. Only slight negative was that the room decor was rather 1970's. However, this was probably due to us having a room that had not been refurbished yet.

Très bel hotel, bien situé face à la gare dans un quartier chargé d'histoire, personnel affable et efficace, bon standing malgré des chambres qui datent un peu et un restaurant aux tarifs élitistes.

We would recommend this hotel and venere.com at any time. The room was spacious (rare in Europe) for a very fair price. The bathroom was super and the breakfast buffet excellent. Staff were very nice and courteous - especially considering how they have to deal with the public alot every day. The location of the hotel (across from the train station) was very good - one could also walk to most of the sites - or catch the touring central bus. If we visited Turin again, we would certainly stay there. We would also recommend Venere.com - as we used them in other parts of Italy as well.
