Not a bad place. Checked into a room strongly smelling of smoke due to it being a smoking room. They upgraded us to a non-smoking superior room as a very nice gesture. Internet access somewhat tedious. Very worn, thread-bear carpeting in a generally dated place needing a real update. Room key appeared to access multiple rooms. Nice breakfast. Convenient location but, not good value for the money, and needing a real decorative update.

The first night I stayed in a room really noisy, even with the window closed. The next morning I asked for a change of room, which was given to me immediately, one person from the lobby came to help me move to the other room, that was on the same floor. That room was perfect and quite. The internet on the lobby is only free for 30min in the whole stay. Breakfast buffet excellent. Great location in front of the railway station and few mins walking to the center. Good hotel, I will definitely come back.

Good hotel. Good location. Good service. Good value. Only suggestion for improvement that I would suggest would be to add fresh fruit (besides apples, oranges, and kiwi) to the breakfast menu for use with cereals, especially in Italy where fresh fruit is so readily available.

We had a one night stay in Turin and the location of the hotel was very good for exploring the city. The staff were very helpful in recommending a good restaurant. The rooms were clean but a bit small. For the price it was well represented. My only critisism is the breakfast was disappointing, tinned fruit instead of fresh and the cooked items were dried up.Praise to the very pleasant barman we met on arrival who went the extra mile. Over all a pleasant stay and would reccomend it to friends and family.

2 nights, 2 mature couples. Overall, we and our friends were really very satisfied with the hotel and with the assistance from Venere. Problem with one room: smell of smoke, was immediately and kindly solved by the staff who transferred us to an excellent and very clean room. The parking doesn't belong to the hotel, but is independent, at about 100 meters from the hotel. It is rather expensive: 24 € per day.

We stayed at Starhotels Majestic for 8 nights January 5th to 13th, 2008. The hotel is perfectly located, right across the street from Porto Nouva train station and an easy walking distance from the center of town. The first room they took us to on the second floor was very small and cheap looking, but when we objected they took us to a 'better room' on the first floor (which, this being Europe, is the floor above the ground floor). This was a much nicer room, with a table with two chairs and a large king size bed (which we had requested). Generally we were happy with the room, and even the free breakfast was more substantial than any breakfast we had at any other hotel in Milan or Florence. The front desk staff were very accomodating and nice and made excellent suggestions for where to eat and made reservations for us quite often. The only problem we had was although our room (indeed the entire floor) was non-smoking, occasionally during our stay one of our neighbors would be smoking in their room and it would definitely enter our room. The other problem was internet access. The hotel did not have free wireless Internet, they had an internet service provided by swisscom which was insanely expensive; 22 euros (nearly 33 dollars) PER DAY for wireless or wired internet access. In this day and age, that's completely unacceptable. In florence we stayed at a hotel which had FREE INTERNET service, so we know it is possible at hotels in Italy.

This hotel is in an excellent location. Near the train station and the bus stop to get you to the airport. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel caters more for your business trip i think than familys. I went with my husband and had a great time. Loads of choice and variety with the breakfast menu. The hotel is very conveniently placed for the centre of Turin which is a lovely and interesting city. We had a very comfortable and quiet room which was very clean and well-serviced. The only complaint concerned the bath tub which was too small even for my wife who is of average build. The staff were very helpful and polite and spoke English. There was a garage at the back of the hotel which was expensive (at Euros 21 per night). We ordered breakfast in the room each morning and it was delivered within the stated time (with prompting). Altogether a very pleasurable experience at a good price (Euros 410 for 3 nights for 3 people including breakfast).

We stayed in this hotel twice: first time we got rooms on 5th floor and they are much smaller because they are on the top. Order rooms on 3rd or 4th floor; they are very spacious. The surrounding is excellent because you are walking distance to most of Turin's attractions. We booked a different hotel for our second stay in the city to compare quality but liked this hotel so much that we decided to cancel the other booking and return to this one.

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The rooms are quite large compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Italy. The bathrooms were well appointed with modern fixures. My bathroom was extremely large (room 223). My friends bathroom was smaller than mine but still large by European standards. Location is excellent if arriving by train, or if you taking the bus from the airport to the train station. It only took a few minutes to walk from the train station to the hotel. Turin was wonderful. Rooms in the property were spacious. The two issues that I had were that the AC did not work well. It was very hot in the room. Secondly, "free-internet" was promised with the reservation which was not the case. To the purchasing the wi-fi service for use was outragiously priced at $22 per day. Most hotels during my 3 week trip offered rates around $7.00. I will return to Turin but not this hotel.

This hotel is excellent. The service is first class, the rooms and the overall hotel is one of the best I have stayed in and better than some 5 star ones I have used. The rooms are quite, very clean, facilities very very good and have air conditioning which is also quiet. Reception is very helpful and the hotel has a nice bar area. The breakfast is first class and service excellent. I cannot fault this hotel and would highly recommend it, if this is the standard of all 'Starhotels' I will choose them without any hessitation. The location of the hotel, for sightseeing the old town, is perfect. Getting to and from the airport couldn't be better. The bus leaves the airport from just outside the arrivals and stops just by the central railway station. The hotel is 150 meters from the bus stop. The bus costs 5 euros each way. To summarise, this hotel is excellent to the highest degree. I would not hessitate in using it again.

The area around the train station in Turino is a safe nice area and I would not even look at another hotel should I have the opportunity to go there again. The breakfast and all make it a lot for the money.

This was a very good hotel in an excellent location within walking distance to most of the sights. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast provided was great with lots of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitley use this hotel again.

The quality of the hotel was phenomenal! We had a gorgeous bed, TV in the bathroom, power massaging shower, cool bedside lighting controls... all a great surprise for the price we paid!!

Good location, easy to find, friendly garage staff. Chap at reception was excellent and recommended a brilliant restaurant - Small, welcoming, excellent food and the best Barolo I have ever tasted.

In spite of the hotel is located in the city center, close to railway station there wasn't any noticeable noise to disturb.

We arrived by train which is very convenient to this hotel (across the street). Did not see any of the 19th century furnishings stated on the web site (all was quite modern). This was the best rated hotel for its price, and we would definitely stay again. Service for the breakfast buffet was excellent. (They are fully booked for the Olympics).

A quality property in a perfect location, close to the railway, city centre, restaurants and bars. Needs a little improvement on Reception, some members of the team were pleasant however others found it difficult to greet us cordially. The Hotel Management should be complemented on their team in the Restaurant. An excellent performance by Andrea G, Supervisor in the Restaurant, our compliments to him for outstanding attention to detail and also for his professionalism and warm, friendly service every day. Very good hotel, staff knowlegable and helpful with good understanding of English. At the time of our visit there were building works for the Winter Olympics preparation outside the hotel but even so the rooms were very quiet.

I would like to have been informed of the amount of works which are taking place outside the hotel. Due to the safety hoardings around the hotel our view is a bit jaundiced. Owing to the few places to cross the road from the station to the hotel, we found it to be a thief's paradise. One of our members had her passport stolen from right outside the hotel.

An excellant well run and modern hotel that is positioned marvelously for shops , resturants and travel . Many cities have problems near railway stations but none of this exists in Turin . I would unhesitatingly stay at this hotel and recommend it to tourists or business people alike .

Triple glazing ensures complete protection from traffic noise which is great. But normal conversation level is audible between rooms in the bathroom which is somewhat disconcerting!

the hotel is nice, but one negative is that either they don't have smoker rooms, or they didn't ask us if we wanted a smoker/non-smoker room. obviously, we got a room that had been smoked in many many times. the best thing about this hotel was the very very large room and bathroom, and the building itself was very elegant.

The rooms and services provided in the rooms was excellent. Far exceeded my expectations. The staff were very helpful. It is too bad that the city is not improving conditions around the railway station which is a block from the hotel. The service at breakfast was a little uncertain but otherwise I would return in heartbeat, especially at the rates I was able to get at your site for this elegant Turin Hotel.

Great hotel & location. Room was huge. Only slight negative was that the room decor was rather 1970's. However, this was probably due to us having a room that had not been refurbished yet.
