This hotel really knows customer service. The rooms were really nicely laid out, and they happily accommodated our request for a room with a king bed and a room with 2 twin beds for our teenage sons. We picked this location becuase we had a really early train to catch and wanted to be close to the train station. Since we left before breakfast would be served, they offered to make us each a "box breakfast" for the next morning. At checkout, they had 4 bags nicely packed and stapled shut with fruit, juice, yogurt, croissants, etc. We were so impressed! This was our kids' favorite hotel, and much cheaper than a 5 star we stayed in the night before in Florence. I would highly recommend for a short stay since we only stayed one night.

Generally very good hotel , very convenient location, metro or bus stop to the airports (Bergamo or Malpensa) two minutes away from the hotel. The closest surroundings not special attractive to spend hours for sightseeing, but you can find a reasonable restaurant to have a dinner. Clean and well equipped room, more than enough spacious . Breakfast sufficient adequately to get ready for the next long day. If you'll get a room on the lower floors, you can feel the metro passing under the building, what it's rather disturbing. Summarising, I really recommend this hotel.

We were at this hotel less than a week ago for two nights. As quoted on the site, it is right next to the train station, which was incredibly convenient. The hotel was clean, quiet and rooms were beautiful. The bed was awesome and very comfortable. It was quiet and perfect for rest. the food was mediocre. The staff were OK, some of them kind of rude. Not the best service, but the hotel is fantastic. Good value. WiFi not free.

Location is so good just cross street of the airport shuttle and train terminal. just like the guide map show really 2 or 1 min walk. For my first vist to Mailan and last city in Italy I feel it really a hotel I want. Breakfast and serving is ok. The room is clean but the only opion for this hotel is ~if reception can serving with smile that will be more perfect. Overall I like this hotel and will introduce to my friend.

I have stayed here a couple of times, due to the proximity of this hotel to Milano Centrale, when I have booked a late-arriving train. The rooms are not large, but very clean and very well furnished. The bathrooms are very clean, with a large mirror and a small LCD TV. The rooms are very well insulated from the outside noise, although you may occasionally feel vibration from a passing metro train. The buffet breakfast is excellent. I would certainly stay here again if I take a train that arrives late at night at Milano Centrale.

The location is very convenient - just steps away from the main train station and metro - but otherwise not particularly exciting. The hotel interior has nice modern decor. The room and even the bathroom are quite spacious by the standards of hotels in Italy. The breakfast selection is not huge but adequate and nicely presented. Staff is friendly. At EUR107 a night (prepaid, double) it's pretty reasonable relative to quality.

It is loated just opposite to the railway station, very convenient. And the staff are perfectly professional and helpful. The room worths the price. Just 1 comment, early morning you can feel a little bit shake of the room due to the train engin.. Anyway, it is a perfect choice for living in Milan.

I visit Milan every year, for the past 8 years, for MIDO - the annual International Optical Exhibition. Each year I have been staying at different hotels. But I would prefer to come back again to StarHotel Anderson the next year since it has been the hotel place in comparison to all the hotels I have stayed so far although I would prefer that the price may be a bit more economical. The hotel is just opposite the central station, conveniently located for air-port transfers using the Malpensa Express Bus and just 3 minutes walks to the Metro Station Calazzo of the Green Line from which one can access the other metro lines using the Metro Map provided by the Hotel.

I stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to shuttle bus to Malpensa. I asked for a quiet room as I had a longhaul flight to Australia the next day and wanted a good rest. I was totally satisfied. The bed was luxurious and the room excellent. The staff were excellent and helpful especially on the front desk and the breakfast good. I was also able to buy tickets for the underground at the front desk which was very convenient. I got a very good rate for this hotel which made it even better.

Hotel is located across from the train station so it is very convenient for those not spending a lot of time in Milan....not many places to eat around hotel and at night not a positive place to walk around....one issue is that you have to walk down stairs to enter and carry bags down or up

While centrally located in Milan and overall, a comfortable and beautifully furnished hotel, I will never return here due to the Milan Metro System running directly under this hotel. I had a room on the first floor and heard each and every metro train running under the hotel up until shortly after midnight. Trains started running again in the early AM hours. I travel to Milan 1-2 times monthly for business and was looking for a new hotel. Starhotel Anderson will not have me as a guest in the future.

The hotel is at an excellent location. Just a few steps away from Central station. Hotel staff are friendly. Room is modernly designed which I like very much. However, there is some broken furnitures had yet been fixed like the closet, safe (both my friend and my room's safe are not functioning).

Great Hotel, next to the Central train station, and metro station just next to the hotel. Was recently renovated. Clean, spacious modern room with double windows to reduce traffic noice. Really nice bathroom with flatscreen TV. I was on the 8th floor, not noicy at all. Cozy breakfast restraurant, howver buffet could have been a bit better, nothing really exeptinal for such a nice hotel. However, I can truely reccomend this hotel and will definetly go back there when in Milan for the next time.

Great hotel and directly across the street from the train (and Metro) station - how conveniet is that? The hotel is very modern and the rooms are wonderfully decorated and equiped with everything you need. The hotel restaurant was not in service but the breakfast area was very nice. There were plenty of great restaurants in the area so that was not a problem.

We booked two doubles but had mentioned that ideally we'd like 1 double and 1 twin which was kindly acomodated. There are steps down into the hotel lobby which might be an issue for some. We were being 24 hour tourists so asked reception about the hop on hop off tourist bus service. Unfortunately, presumably 'cos most of their clients are business people, they didn't know much about the service despite it having a stop only 200m from their hotel. At the 2nd time of enquiring I was given an out of date pamphlet. This was a minor issue though. The hotel was well located, modern and good value.

The room was quiet when the windows were shut. However, we learned when calling the front desk, that the air conditioning is turned off at midnight so the room became very stuffy. When we opened the windows, there was considerable street noise. For the price, we felt the air conditioning should have been available throughout the night. Otherwise, it was a nice room with a helpful staff. Very convenient if traveling by train.

The room was spacious enough, quiet and clean. Of Course, the location should be on the top of list.Due to the fashion show held in Milano on the very date when I stayed , the rate was quite high although it was a weekend but I think it was reasonable. Breakfast also was good but the only thing to point out is that fruits were not fresh but canned.

Great room, just like a Sheraton hotel. Nicely decorated. We were on the first floor, with a view of the fire escape, but the room made up for it. Except for the subway under the hotel, which rumbled all day. But then we were not in the hotel much. Just to sleep, and it stopped by midnightish.. Tv in the washroom was a nice touch. Beautifull washroom.

Convenient setting, value for money and quality service What more could a traveller require than the above? I will start the review by stating that in my opinion, the Starhotels Anderson Milan fully justifies its rating as a top hotel in Milan. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are scrupulously clean, as are the bathrooms, which are bright and well equipped – should you wish to watch MTV or Italian football while bathing etc you may with the bathroom TV. Reception staff are smart, helpful and speak excellent English. Bar staff and breakfast room staff are similarly competent. The buffet breakfast provided is substantial, of good quality and reasonably varied, which can be unusual for Italy. Location wise, the hotel is a matter of metres away from the central train station and shuttle buses to Malpensa and Linate airport. It could not be more convenient in that respect. To conclude then, the Starhotels Anderson is highly recommended.

The room we were assigned at our entrance to the hotel was different to the rest of rooms. First of all the key was a metalic key and not an electronic key like in the rest of the rooms we saw in the corridors, that made us think that we were given a different room, like an old one. Once we entered into our room, we realised that in fact, the room was like a different type of quality room where you could see humidity in the bathroom. We thought they had that room reserved for Venere clients. In my opinion that room should be closed for some restoration. Thank you, Javier Romeo

Hotel is 1 block away from Milan's central train station which is a bit of a scruffy neighborhood to be walking through at night. Hotel itself is top-notch. Free Internet access (with printer!) in the lobby, a nice little bar & restaurant as well. Rooms were very clean and the bed and pillows were the most comfortable of any hotel in our 2 week trip throughout Italy. An extremely convenient and comfortable place to stay in Milan if you're planning on taking a shuttle bus from the train station to the airport early the next morning. If you're driving to the hotel get detailed instructions from the hotel prior to arrival - we had difficulty in finding the station from the autostrada.

We were a group of three couples travelling fast and furiously through Italy and France over a three-week period. We needed a place to stay that was close to the Milan train station since we were leaving at the crack of dawn on the train bound for Paris. Our accommodations at Starhotel Anderson were, quite honestly, the best of any---believe me, we stayed in a lot of places! Our rooms were truly lovely and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The morning breakfast was superb! Speaking for us as a group, we would highly recommend the Starhotel Anderson---especially if proximity to the train staton is a priority. We literally walked across the street to board the train and we had a ton of luggage!!

The hotel is great, very nice and modern. It is very close to central station so very convenience. I love this hotel everything is good the staffs at reception is very polite and helpful. One thing is just the price is expensive. I stay for 1 night there for €140 i asked for this rate to stay longer but they will put the price up for some reason. Otherwise I will book 2 rooms for my friends too and stay for 10 days both rooms. Anyway I will stay there again if i go to milan and the price is reasonable.

Premises are what you may expect from this kind of hotel. Small rooms, not lot of services but clean and god amount of design. Location is god, in front of central station (where you can find a tube station also -not very nice Milan tube-) and a reasonable distance to the city center (you can go on foot -about 20 min-). Concierges were not helpful at all, kind of people that seems to be unhappy to help guest. IMPORTANT: not ever think about let the Hotel to park your car, they will charge you 23€ per day with out any warning (when we complain they just say “this is Milan”, I hope the parking place were at Via della Spiga, at least).

This hotel is recently renewed and the public areas are really great: there is not so much space (but this is not a very large hotel) but the furniture and the environment is really far away from a "standard 4* hotel": it seems more like the living room of a very trendy house, with a good mix of modern and classical furniture. Room are good but more "normal". Good space to work on your notebook. First floor is covered by the WiFi service (Megabeam) as the public areas.
