Unfreundlicher Empfang; arrogantes Personal an der Rezeption; Frühstück: sehr hektisch, Bahnhofsatmospähre, laut und kalt, wenig Auswahl, schlechter kalter Kaffee, kein Frühstücksfeeling; hellhöriges zum Teil lautes Zimmer

The location is good as for the distance from key places of Florence but the surroundings are not really nice. The hotel itself as a whole meets my standard.

It was my first stay at Hotel Michelangelo and I found it quite good and not expensive for what they give. I would suggest it for demanding and high level customers

We liked the Hotel and the facilities, excepting for being on the noisy side after midnight (music or something,,, So much for requesting a quiet room to the lady at the reception when we checked in). Location: It is a very good location. Walking distance to the Historic Center (Centro Storico), or a few bus stops away. Service: We didn't like the service at the lobby: Upon arrival the lady at the reception only offered the city map and no asking or offer of help with the luggage, etc. Beside the check in formalities she spent no more than 30 seconds to just offer the map and moved on to other things. In general, with a couple of exceptions, I found them not to be the friendliest. In spite of some of the not so friendly people at the reception (disregard their lack of friendliness) and the not so good breakfast and the noise (take some earplugs with you), we find it a good value and modern and comfortable and great location.

The reception staff was very helpful, friendly and informative. However, they were not fully consistent as concerns their advice, for instance the required reservation to Cappella Brancacci. On the other hand, when a doctor was needed, the staff approached the problem effectively and professionally. The reception staff recommended some nearby restaurants, which proved to be nice and cosy with friendly service and delicious meals.

Breakfast was not good, but Ok. Except that, overall service and facility was great. a little bit far from the center, but the bus station was very nearby so that we could reach to Duomo easily.

The lobby, building, dining area, rooms and bathrooms were beautiful and clean. The hallways smelled dank and carpet seemed old and musty. We heard some sort of equipment noise from our room throughout the night.

The hotel is very beautiful, I would say that it could also be qualified as a 5 star hotel. There are two things to take into consideration: - the hotel is not in the heart of the city (but it is 15 minutes walking distance from the center and it is close to the station) - the first floor of the hotel is a bit dark and noisy (road traffic)if you open the window. Therefore, accept the first floor only provided that they offer you an upgrade of the room. We had a fantastic executive at the same price of a standard because it was at the first floor altough I requested a high floor. The rooms are fantastic, very very clean and huge. The staff is very professioanal, kind and helpful. Breakfast also was ok. I would definitely reccomend this hotel.

This hotel was modern, clean and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was more like a 20 minute walk from the centre of Florence, rather than the 10 min walk we were told it would be, but the free bike hire was very good.

Hotel moderno e molto confortevole. Camera spaziosa, silenziosa e ben accessoriata. Bagno pulito, completo e sovrabbondante di accessori. Personale gentile e disponibile. Colazione a buffet caldo. Unica pecca: parcheggio caro in una zona senza possibilità di parcheggiare in strada.

Excellent stay marred only by a dissapointing dinner main course which was not cooked properly on the last night and for which we were not charged. The previous 6 dinners had been excellent broking no criticism.

It was an excellent hotel. Services provided were excellent and the employees were well educated. If you were on a business trip or if you were extremely conscious about cleanliness, you will be sure to be satisfied. But, if you wanted to feel "Firenze", the hotel could be too "Americanized". You may want to stay somewhere else and closer to the center. As for us, we were on a tough transit to another city and the hotel was a big comfort in continuing the rest of the trip.

The Starhotel Michelangelo provided comfortable and luxurious accommodation with excellent amenities at a reasonable price. Reception provided us with all the useful information needed that assisted us in getting by. I 'll recommend this hotel to anyone. The only problem was: We requested a non smoking room and such request was apparently not received by the hotel thus we ended up in a room that smelled of smoke with no view.

Cordiali Saluti Antonio Fronzuti

The only drawback to this hotel is that it is a little far from the downtown area in Florence. I realize that it is more of a business traveler's hotel so maybe this would explain it but otherwise the room was great.

I enjoyed my brief stay for one night. The hotel staff were highly professional and accomodating. The hotel has been renovated to meet the expectations of today's business or leisure traveler. The walk in to the city center was a little longer than I had expected from what had been indicated on the website.

An excellent Hotel giving good value for money. Location is not ideal for tourist purposes. The surrounding area is heavily congested / polluted with traffic for most of the day, and walking distance to tourist attractions is too long for healthy individuals and impossible for the unfit. For business use, this would be an ideal choice. Locally, there is an excellent traditional Italian restaurant, serving very high quality/low priced meals.

Upon arrival, the concierge was quite rude due to a discrepancy in our room reservation. It was not showing in the computer system, but fortunately I had the printed confirmation sheet. Incidences such as this create frustration and aggravation and can really negatively affect your entire trip if you let it. We had a good time nonetheless.

This is the second trip to Italy I have arranged for five work colleagues, and I found venere.com an excellent source for comparing and booking suitable accommodation. The hotel is exactly as described, reasonably close to the station and about a 15 minute walk into the city centre. Every thing went smoothly, The hotel was aware of my booking when I emailed asking for restaurant recommendations and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We did book one of their recommendations situated within walking distance of the hotel and had a lovely meal. We had three rooms between the five in the group, all were provided in close proximity on the same floor at a very reasonable cost. This is a genuine four star hotel at a good price.

Muy agradable la estancia; habitación confortable y limpia, con aire acondicionado eficiente y poco ruidoso (permite individualizar su funcionamiento), y en general un nivel de ruido interno aceptable para lo que se espera de un hotel.

A very friendly welcoming by the staff in a large airy reception. The room was very comfortable & clean & the air conditioning & double glazing made it an ideal retreat after a long hot day sightseeing. The heart of the city being 10 minute walk away after a hearty breakfast with plenty of choice.A first class hotel to be highly recommended.
