This was our first visit to Florence. The Grand Hotel was a wonderful base from which to explore the city. We had cosmos every evening on the deck before going to dinner. Our bartender, Gianni (sp?), made us feel special and pampered. We chose a room without river view; the room was delightfully decorated in historic style, and all services were performed promptly and well. The front desk staff was particularly welcoming and helpful, and the concierges were top-notch. A happy introduction to Florence!

EVERYONE WAS GREAT. THE ROOM WAS BEAUTIFUL, THE LOCATION FANTASTIC.I DID NOT EAT AT THE HOTEL SINCE IT WAS EXTREMELY PRICY, HOWEVER IT WAS REALLY NICE.

A wonderful hotel, excellent accommodations (we had a small suite), great breakfasts, very good concierges - not officious or condescending - and great locations. Only suggestion would be to have a free internet access location, as do other hotels of similar caliber in Italy.
