Hotel Vincci Capitol - Madrid

We came to the hotel 'bout midnight ... off course there was man at the reception who didn't speak english at all :))) Room was really small ... and curtains didn't work ... and that damned "the only english channel" ... but location of the hotel is SOOOOOOOOOOO good

The location of the hotel is excellent as it is located in the centre of Gran Via. It is also a few steps away from the metro, so it is easy to get to from the airport or railway station. The room was a neat stylish, double room that we stayed in, a little compact, but manageable nevertheless. Vincci exceeded expectations

The hotel is excellent, the rooms are spacious, modern decor, clean and the location is perfect. The price is inviting. The check-in should occur to 02:00 PM, but arrived at 10:00 am traveling, my room was already available, and those who came from a trip of 10 hours, a bed and a bath to help recover the energy. The cost and benefit is great. I was back to Madrid and I have no doubt that I would be back in Vincci Capitol

Un vero 4 stelle situato al centro di Madrid. L'hotel è pulitissimo, moderno, molto curato nei dettagli ed il personale è sempre disponibilissimo. L'unica pecca durante il mio soggiorno è stata che la stanza non affacciava sulla Gran Via ma internamente. Nei dintorni dell'hotel si può passeggiare tranquillamente anche di notte, e grazie alla sua posizione, si può visitare a piedi gran parte della città. CONSIGLI: - chiedete una delle camere ai piani alti e che si affaccino sulla Gran Via così avrete una bella vista panoramica. - potete fare colazione alla caffetteria Oskar, situata alle spalle dell'hotel; le cose sono buone e si paga soltanto un euro a pezzo.

We deliberately chose a superior room at an average of 170 euros per night and my comments are particular to these circumstances.The room was spacious and had wonderful balcony views across central Madrid.They had recently renovated and installed comuputor lighting which was inadequate at times and far too complicated.A suplimentary system of lamps were supplied but one of the two was broken from the start.In the bathroom we had a bath with shower and a seperate shower.The later we could not use because the door was broken in addition to which the shower screen on the bath was so badly fitted that more water ran across the bathroom floor than into the bath.We had a draw in the bathroom that was broken and permanently stuck out 30cm from the wash unit.When we reported these problems on the 3rd day of our 5 day stay all we were told is that we should have reported from the outset and they would have time to fix problems.My issue was simply that these were major faults that had existed for some time before our visit and that their conduct on that basis was below what you would expect when taking the best rooms from a 4 star hotel.Also more minor was an absence of towels and soap on the first two days and the fact that we had to ask several times on each occasion to have them delivered to the room.The final insult was on the 4 th day when without warning they barred us from our room on the basis that we had added a breakfast and some other incidentals to our bill that would mean instead of 4 nights coming to 767 euros the total bill would now be 829 euros.They had my credit card from when we signed in and had made no mention of credit limits etc but now insisted on us paying 500 euros deposit before completing our stay and this with just one night remaining.I have spent my working life in hotels around Europe and other parts of the globe and by any standard the approach of this hotel to customers is wierd.Nice location and great views but I wouldn´t stay their again fo

We stayed for 2 nights and had a room on the top floor with a big balcony overlooking the Grand Via. Room decor modern and chic but size is small (bathroom is adaqute w/ sesperate shower.) One complaint is their lousy internet connection. First of all, it's NOT included in the price so we paid extra for the WiFi but it didn't work. They sent up someone to fix it and also tried the plug connection but still didn't work... We ended up with an internet cafe the next morning. Location very convenient, walking distance to many attractions in Madrid and there's also a Metro stop right next to the hotel.

Internet don't gratis

The hotel is on perfect location and you can do most of the things in a walking distant. There are near by restaurant, clubs, and shops. What I love about this hotel is the design, but what I hate is also the design. The design of the hotel is modern with great combination of colours and material, lighting and sound, but furniture and most of the design doesn't suit traveller. There was no table when I needed to write or do some work, and there was no place where I can sit comfortably and wacth TV. The sofar/chair provided looks very nice, but it was not at all comfortable. The closet space was too small to hang the overcoat of two. This hotel would be a perfect place if you are on your honeymoon.

This hotel is great for its central location. Go to Nebraska (further along Gran Via) for an excellant breakfast. The hotel was value for money, the room was a little tight for suitcase storage. The furnishigs were modern although are showing early signs of deteriaration. The fridge did not work very well. Madrid in April requires warm clothing and an umberella. We would go there again for a weekend break.

A great choice

The hotel is very well located, within walking distance from the most important monuments and places. We had a room with a wonderful wiew on the Gran via. The room was clean and quiet, and the employees very kind. I recommend this hotel to everybody.

Great location on Gran Via - walking distance to many major sites, rooms facing internal courtyard are very quiet despite busy central location. Rooms a bit small but nicely renovated. Got a nasty electric shock off the hair dryer in the bathroom though. Good shopping and restaurants all around.

Madrid was a birthday present for my wife and we stayed for two nights. The hotel was in a fantastic location. The main shopping streets are literally outside the front door and there are many bars and restaurants nearby. You can hop on the Tour Bus, just across the road, which cost 15 Euros each. That price covers both routes all day and is a great way of getting around. Bear in mind that the hotel bar shuts at 11pm, but give it a go as the views are amazing. The hotel rooms are great and modern in design. We had a inner room, so my only regret is that we didn't ask for a room with a view. I saw some of the views from rooms which were being cleaned and it is a shame we didn't have that to enjoy.

I had lived in Madrid for four and half years 12 years ago and was very pleasantly surprised by the price/quality of this hotel. Guests should be sure to go up to the top floor for a panoramic view of Madrid.

Fantastic location and rooms. Central to most everything so we could walk everywhere.

Para un hotel cuatro estrellas no cumple con la totalidad de los requisitos.El baño no tiene bidet. La mampara del baño es pequeña y cada vez que uno toma un baño se moja totalmente haciendo dificil su utilizacion posterior. Deberia tener un servicio de TV por cable o mas amplio y tener un servicio de peliculas para ofrecer (pay per view)

Excelente hotel muy bien ubicado relativo a las atracciones de madrid. no tienen acceso a internet en el hotel, pero cerca existe un restaurant que si lo tiene y economico.
