This hotel is situated in the Red light district but otherwise is in a great just steps away from the Gran Via train metro station. The hotel itself is basic with small rooms but clean and quite all the same.

Good location on Gran Via. Hotel is a bit dated and needs to upgrade room decor. But overall a good stay.

5 days (4 nights) spent at an academic conference. Few hours in the room. 200 meters to the historical city's center (Plaza del Sol). Metro exactly out of the door.

Pricy, but that's likely the case for Madrid (my first time). Good central location, next to metro, and walkable to Prado, and downtown. Internet gets pricy, but they have wifi. Downside is that it's just around the corner from a redlight area with lots of streetwalkers.

Staff availability and welcoming very good. We chose a room in the backyard which was quite, but not large, clean enough. Very good breakfast in a large clean and lighty area. Very good location with metro station just in front. Overall comment: from website I was not expecting a grand-hotel, just a touristic hotel in the centre with no great expectations. That was it. I would go back there if travelling again as a tourist.

Great location, real close to everything. Metro right out front door too. Careful at night though. Safe... but if you go right, you walk through the redlight district (just walk out door to left and you're fine). Room was decent. Typical of a European hotel (a tad small but acceptable). Bathroom could have been a tad cleaner. Overall, pleased with the hotel. Wouldn't have wanted to stay there for an extended stay though. Good place for a quick stop. Convenient. Decent price.

By airplane
From Madrid-Barajas International Airport, take underground line 8 towards Nuevos Ministerios and get off at the Mar de Cristal station. Switch to underground line 4 towards Argüelles and get off at the Diego de León station. Switch to the underground line 5 towards Aluche and get off at the Gran Vía station, located a few steps from the hotel.
