Small Luxury Hotel Das Tyrol - Vienna

Very nice hotel, but not a luxury property. The single person at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming, but there was no one else - and no one to help us with luggage up the front steps or lobby steps to the elevator. Lobby is tiny and a smoking area; breakfast was excellent. Our deluxe room was very well appointed, but very small. We were grateful that the hotel was very quiet.

Excellent staff and wonderful hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna and I could certainly stay in it again. Rarely would I give a hotel a rating between 9 and 10 but this hotel deserves it. The only negative aspect is the rooms are small. but they are lovely and are very similar to what is shown on the webpage. I used the wellness area and it was also very relaxing, clean and peaceful. Good location.

Small (about 30 rooms),but nice hotel, perfect location,clean room, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, friendly staff.

We've been to Vienna several times but our first stay at Das Tyrol. We loved the hotel and would definitely stay there again and also recommend it to our friends. Very helpful staff.

Desk clerks were all extremely helpful and a pleasure to meet.

My stay was excellent except for a few small items. I've noticed that hotels that specify being "boutique" hotels generally have rooms which lack room for luggage. Though this Small Luxury Hotel has rooms larger than normal, it was bearable being that I was by myself. The only other items I would add to this hotel would be more english TV stations. Fox News Network and CNBC would be very nice. Great hotel in a great location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Das Tyrol and it compared favourably versus a number of other hotels we stayed at in Austria and Italy. Our only small gripe was that the hotel has only one small 3 person lift which is a little difficult to use with luggage/goods, and with rooms being on up to the 5th floor, you really need to use the lift.
