Upscale boutique hotel. Rooms are very chic and comfortable. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Food in the hotel is expensive but the quality is high. We would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly and helpful staff; attractive decor with a Japanese theme. Very clean and well maintained. Bedroom not very large but nicely decorated and good bathroom. Excellent bed. A quiet building very close to the lake and within easy walking distance of the centre. Good value and to be recommended.

In Geneva for a conference at one of the more flash hotels nearby, and very glad to have found a more reasonable alternative. The friendliness of the desk staff was an excellent introduction to a really good small hotel.

From other reviews that I have read it is obvious that we didn't see the hotel at its best. Having had 4 hours on the train we walked from the station. This took us through the red light district, lots of girls in doorways and pimps hovering around, not the best start. On arrival at Eastwest (around 7.30pm on a Monday) there was only the receptionist on duty, she told us she could not leave the desk and unlike the other Swiss hotels we had stayed in there was no offer of a welcome drink or any orientation. She gave us our key and travel passes and directed us to the lift. We were not given any sense of the hotel or any of its facilities, it felt very odd, a ghost town. The room was very glamorous, well appointed and very comfortable. Shower annoying as it soaked the floor but a very minor gripe. Had no awareness that the hotel had a good restaurant, went out for dinner at 9pm through the still empty bar and foyer. Really didn't like the area and the Asian food at Jeck's Place was very poor. Skipped breakfast and headed straight to the airport. It was only as we were leaving that we found the courtyard and what looked like a guest lounge. After the gorgeous Hotel Des Balances in Lucerne it lacked warmth, hospitality and the sense of relaxation that goes with these.

Staff very friendly. Good location, short walk to train station. Very nice rooms - but quite expensive. Only small issue was that they only have one iron in the hotel and it was constantly in use.

It is a good hotel. Prices in Geneva are sky high because all other hotel guests are goverment employees who don't care becaue they don't pay themselves. Everywhere else this hotel would cost half as much.
