De la Ville - A Sina Hotel - Milan

This was about the 4th time we have stayed at Hotel De la Ville - It is PERFECTLY situated , within walking distance of EVERYTHING in the Duomo area. The front desk staff were a little abrupt when we arrived - they were obviously very busy, and the young man dealing with us gave the impression of being in over his head, almost confused by the rush of check-ins. Other than that, the rest of the staff = always very friendly and ready to assist. The only real complaint is that the decor in the rooms is starting to look a little dated and worn and the bathrooms are cramped. The hotel could do with an overall refurbishment and freshening up !

It was an unpleasant surprise, that the roomservice x charge (25 percent of goods ordered) appeared only on the final invoice and not at time of ordering.

Perfect downtown location, our room was beautiful and quiet, the breakfast wasnt rich but adequate, as was the atmosphere of the breakfast-room

This not my first visit to Milan but it was the first long saty in Milan. since I stayed 3 days.

Small room - very small and old bathroom- the price with the kind of room completely strangers- the only good thing was the location there are hotels with the same prices much more better and high quality

Very pleasant and convenient hotel in the heart of Milano. We walked everywhere! Comment to the hotel: put a little stronger lighting to the bedsides. It's "ambience" lighting but not strong enough to read by ...(with my eyesight).

It is a nice and cosy hotel, all major sights are in convenient distance. There are several restaurants and bars around. The price/quality relationship is good. A good place to stay for a visit to Milan, especially if you`d rather explore the city center on foot.

Very nice hotel, just a block or two from the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele (for shopping, dining, etc.). Loved the rooftop lap pool--although only a few feet deep, it was great to cool off at the end of the day (you could even swim and float) or to sit in the deck chairs in full view of the Duomo's spires. Breakfast was also really "full American" and very good.

Very oldfashioned hotel,inside atmosphere a bit stiff,staff not very friendly,and the rooms a bit claustrophobic for what we booked(superior double room with terrace).Facilities a bit out of date and inside decoration too old."Swimming pool" is merely a 80 cm deep pond about 2,5 m wide.Very good position and price for a 4 star hotel but don't expect the 4 star standard

A bit old but fascinating good hotel in an eccellent position. The restaurant by the hotel is very good.

Room rate was different from my reservation from venere com room rate in site total 726 euro but invoice was 806 euro they sad that the tax was'nt included not fair !

We found the De la Ville to be in a great location within Milan. Close to all the major tourist sites. We drove into the city and finding the hotel was very difficult. Get some very detailed driving instructions to make this process more smooth. The hotel staff very very friendly, informative and helpful. The rooms were very nice. The swimming pool is quite small so don't expect to do laps. It is more for just hopping in and cooling off. Breakfasts had a good variety, good quality and were the best of the seven hotels we stayed in during our 2 week vacation in Northern Italy. We would stay here again.
