Hotel Sheraton Roma - Rome

Since we're living in the 21st century, 1) there must have been a free wireless internet, 2) the rooms seemed to come out of 70s, there must have been renewaled furnitures, 3) especially the bathrooms were quite old fashioned, though not dirty, their furnitures could have been renewed too.

I love staying at this hotel when in Rome. It's 15 mins from the airport & 15 mins from the centre of Rome. It's also extremely convenient that the hotel offers a shuttle bus from the airport to/from the hotel for 5 euros which is very much cheaper than the other transport companies at Rome airport. Getting in/out of Rome central is also easy as the hotel runs a regular shuttle to/from Piazza Venezia for 3 euros return. Breakfast is more than enough with a large variety to choose from both hot & cold. Although the weather was not hot during this stay, the pool area is lovely to sit around and have a relaxing drink in the afternoon. Would & will definitely stay again !!

The hotel in general was good but the location was not. The restaurant where we had breakfast was not what i expect from a 5 star hotel and more often and not the food was cold, this stopped us from booking an evening meal and we went into central Rome instead.

Mi aspettavo di meglio rispetto ad altre strutture in altre città.

First we received a room on the first floor and when we entered the smell of the food was very obvious. We asked to change it. Second room had no safe, so we decided to choose the third one. I thought all room has safe as per advertising but its not true. Reception Staff was ok, but could be nicer as the first impression is the most important. Generally the Staff needs serious training regarding service and friendliness. They dont know how to do it... Bruno in the restaurant during breakfast was nice, rest very arrogant and cold. No idea... Bar service also very slow and food selection is poor. We had to go by the bar to order. Value for money is poor. Breakfast buffet rich and the fresh orange juice was great. Linen was always clean, but the maintenance in the room needs to be checked by supervisors more often. I suggest this hotel for business people when you spent few night only.
