Sheraton München Westpark Hotel - Munich

I had booked 2 nights at this hotel, and the day after we arrived, we were informed that Munich Electricity were upgrading the supply around the area of the hotel...electricity to be disconnected approx. 1.30am with no guarantees of how long the supply would be interrupted. This caused me great anxiety because I rely on a respirator to keep me breathing during the night. I advised Reception who sent the hotel manager and the engineer up to my room to ascertain the difficulties that an interruption to supply would cause me. They were very concerned about my well-being as well as the implications for the hotel. They said they would have to move us to their hotel at Arrabella Park, reassuring me that they would help with the move, arrange transport and accommodate us in an Executive Suite. I expressed my appreciation and told them that I didn't hold them responsible as Munich electricty only give hours notice of such interruptions. When I went to check out before the transfer, I was told that they had credited my account with the second nights accommodation fee and that the executive suite was on them! Additionally, when we arrived at our suite in the Arabella Park, there were complimentary 'nibbles' and a thank you card from the manager for being so uncomplaining!

Excellent hotel. Great value and service. Well connected to centre by underground and overground trains which means you can be in the heart of the centre from the hotel in 10 minutes and at the airport in 40 minutes. Accomodating for babies also. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel offering the typical Sheraton experience/amenities. Clean and modern with three undergrounds adjacent making transportation extremely easy. Quiet area in the business district.

The staff was quite good. But not accommodating on request for late checkout, even one room for a couple of hours. There was no bell service on Sunday, the guests had to carry the luggage up by themselves. THE LOCATION IS GREAT, just above the subway station. Breakfast very expensive.

We were excited to stay here for the weekend and use the thermal facilties and relax, but we found they were not owkring much of the time we were there and the sauna and whirlpool was cold. When we complained at the end, the reception coldly told us it was our fault for not asking. There was no sign or information that you need to ask to use it. The reception at this hotel is not kind or warm, very cold and make you feel like you are an idiot for traveling. Location in an ugly part of town, not inspiring. EXPENSIVE breakfast, for not much choice, either. Good wine list at restaurant. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and well lit, bathroom was nice.

Hotel facilities and location is good but hotel staff could hardly be described as friendly nor helpful. I've asked a few questions but the answers are either negative or, unfortunately, wrong or misleading (e.g. date and time of a football match). If they don't know the answers, a simple "don't know/ don't understand" answer would be preferred. Luckily I've exercised judgment by searching the internet myself! Also, I've booked 3 days on a "non pre-paid" basis but the terms confirmed by Venere.com indicated the booking cannot be canceled. I've then complained and, whilst rectified via e-mail in less than 2 days before my scheduled arrival (for reason that "as the system does not recognize if a reservation is for a fair period or not"!!!), I've no time for any other possible arrangement.

Very good if u consider that we payed 78euro for a double room
