This is a very convenient place to stay for late airport arrivals in Bologna or early departures. There is a very good restaurant and facilities. The breakfast opens at 4:45 am and the first shuttle for the short ride to the airport leaves at 5:15 am for early flights. The hotel is not so convenient for exploring the area unless you have a car.

Not particularly convenient to sightseeing in the city though if you don't have a car. Very nice rooms and one of the few places with American Sports channels on the TV, if you're interested in that. New and very nice hotel

This is an airport hotel, nothing more nothing less - in the middle of nowhere, trapped at the hotel unless you pay for a taxi or have a car - fine for one night if you're catching an early morning flight, but very very soulless...

As always, this is an excellent choice to meet an early flight out of the Bologna airport. The first shuttle leaves for the airport at 5:15 am and was right on time. Breakfast opens a half hour before the shuttle, so there's an opportunity to eat before heading for the short ride to the airport. The rooms are very nice. There's a channel for US sports, although the games are usually a day late. Not particularly convenient for visiting the city since it's by the airport, but there are a couple of shuttles a day directly to the city and you could take the shuttle to the airport and the airport bus from there.

We booked this room because of its location to the airport in Bologna. It is the closest. It was a nice room, but could have been cleaner. Some of the plumbing needed to be fixed as well; if you turned the shower all the way up it would shoot water up to the ceiling. It was also noticeable that this was an issue that has not been going on for awhile since the ceiling had obvious water damage. As far as hotel guest relations go for the most part the front desk was helpful. along with the shuttle driver and taxi's. The hotel does not have a view of anything but a dirt lot and a wash. it is also located in an industrial area. The property is fenced off and you feel like your on a military base; incidentally there is one across the street. Hotel bathroom amenities were very nice "his and her's" in case you forgot a tooth brush, comb, shaving kit, very nice and no extra charge.

We stayed in this hotel because of late flight arrival and early flight back. Five minutes to the airport with regular free shuttle bus make it very convinient for the purpose.

Restaurant menu limited however service excellent and food good.

Airport pick up needs some attention, airconditioner required numerous calls to repair. surroundings are pleasant. staff are well trained and attentive.

The front desk staff was not very welcoming. I was travelling with my elderly parents and wanted a room near them. I had to persist with the front desk staff to get a room near them but I finally was able to secure one. The staff member made me feel like I was a bother to them because I asked for this request. Otherwise our stay was good and it was conveniently located to the airport for our early morning departure.

This is an excellent location for a stay to connect to an early morning flight from the airport. The shuttle service starts very early and a good breakfast is available prior to the first shuttle. It's not particularly convenient for seeing the city since there is a limited shuttle service into the city.

This hotel is fine for close proximity to airport and shuttle service. The restaurant dinner was good quality. This hotel is mainly used by business people, as it is far from downtown or anything else. Our room was inhabited by ants, which when notified, the woman at the desk didn't really care to hear about it.

If you need an hotel nearby the airport this place is perfect. The relationship between price/quality is optimus.

New hotel, spacious,clean, silent rooms. The only thing that didn't met the 4 star was the breakfast which could have been much better.

I stayed for 1 night for a very low rate. All the services are overpriced and staff is not competent. The minibar costs are prohibitive! The breakfast is like all big hotels, very good quality but overcrowded. Overall taking into consideration the price it was a good deal.

Very good breakfast available before the first shuttle to the airport. Live entertainment on the evening I was there. If arriving at the train station, a taxi is approximately 15 euro or take the bus to the airport to pick up the shuttle. There are three shuttles per day between the station and the hotel.

Very good in general, one of the best belance between price and quality

It was nice to spend our last few nights in Italy in a big soft bed. By far the best sleep I had the whole trip. The Venere price was much lower than my corporate rate, and a great deal for the area. Internet and food are overpriced. Easy to get to the airport and didn't hear any planes at night.

Stay was ok. Only problem was that there were no non-smoking rooms left. Hotel is by the airport, which is very convenient if your flight is very early in the morning. Quite a bit out of town, so not recommended for tourist, just like most other airport hotels.

We had an incident where my son was stung on the face in his sleep, probably by the ants he saw in the bathroom. His face swelled until he was unable to see. The incident was reported to the staff on duty who seemed uninterested in the incident. Also no one contacted us later to express any regrets or to check on the condition of my son. Service rated poor and bug problem unacceptable.

I didn't realize from the map that the hotel is miles from downtown, quite isolated and desolate. Apart from that, the hotel was very nice, and the restaurant unusually good for a hotel restaurant.

We asked for a double room, we got one king size bed. we were two men so we have been obliged to sleep in same bed, as no more rooms available.

Very convenient for the airport, good parking, easy to find. Breakfast starts at 5am which is useful if you have an early start.

If using hotel transport to town, it leaves only three times per day each direction. Only one van and priority is to airport, so the first trip to town is about 9AM with the last about 830PM. So the last return to the hotel is about 845PM. Can return on bus to airport from train station.

The rooms have not been renovated for a good while. Wallpaper is coming off and general facilities feel about 20 years old. Not as good as I'd expect for a 5-star hotel costing 145 Euros per night. The location is right next to the airport so purely a matter of convenience rather than quality.

We only stayed for one night as we were going to travel further. Staff were excellent and very helpful in all aspects.

Shuttle was excellent when already at the hotel, but pretty useless if arriving from the train station.

We really enjoyed our stay. There were some things that might bother other people like the crane from our balcony view, and excess heat, and a bit of water on the floor in the bathroom. But the food in the restaurant was excellent, location was perfect and we got a really good deal with only 2 days to go. We enjoyed our stay.

My short stay in Bologna at the Sheraton was very good overall the hotel itself was fine ,nice and clean friendly staff good local wine.However it is still in a phase of construction at the far end and is located right behind the airport good for some bad for others.Parking is good and its only 5 mins drive to the old town.I would stay there again.

Excellent stay, the hotel is simply perfect, with large, clean, silent rooms. Bathroom large and beautiful. Breakfast wonderful. only thing, it's near the airport, so the surroundings are not very pleasant and it's not the right choice if you want to be near the centre of Bologna. Otherwise, a recommendable relationship between price and quality.

The Sheraton Bologna while not the most conveniently-located property and in need of upgrading from its 1970's decor, at least offers shuttle service to and from Bologna Centar (to the train station & St. Peter's Church near Piazza Maggiore at 8:00, 3:00, and 20:00 -- the last shuttle from the Center leaves about 20:30). The breakfast service is varied, but often the "hot dishes" like eggs, bacon, etc. are cold. While the hotel restaurant offerings are satisfactory, the best restaurant in the area was "Nonno Rossi" and about a 10 minute walk from the hotel (around the corner to the left) near a private air strip. If you need a hotel that's close to the Bologna Airport, stay here. Otherwise, opt for something closer to town.

A very pleasant hotel and very convenient for the airport. My only non excellent comment is about the sound proofing in the rooms - as with so many hotels, the surface is lovely and the service excellent but I never know why when they design these places they don't put more thought into actually sound proofing between rooms. My neighbours evidently had an early flight and from hearing their alarm clock to shower....The hotel is great and prices seeed very reasonable for Bologna.. otherwise no negative comments. I would use this hotel again.

Excellent and very professional service. The hotel is vey well connected to the airport (free bus) and close to the city. The receptionists were very kind, and managed to get our lat-checkout request at our entire satisfaction. We really recommend this hotel to those who don't really need to stay at the center of the city

Acutely professional staff, excellent value! Restaurant was elegant and well run. Very convenient access to downtown Bologna, the airport, and major roads.

The hotel was spacious and clean, but some more amenities for children would be appreciated.
