We loved everything about the Residence Corte Grimani. The location was superb, the apartment was huge and nicely furnished and the staff was extremely helpful. My grandaughter left a ring she had purchased and loved at the hotel. I e-mailed the hotel and they found the ring and sent it to us.

Wonderful, exactly as advertised. Given the size of room, proximity to major attractions, free wifi and the quietness of the "side street", this is an excellent value. Staff was very helpful giving superb restaurant recommendations. More a very highly priced town, a great bargain and, again, amazingly quiet for out location (room even had a veiw of a canal. We've stayed at five other hotels in Venice (including the Danieli) and this is easily the best value (but don't expect Danieli ammenities such as bar, restaurant, etc.).

When arriving at Marco Polo airport take the Motoscalfi San Giorgio water taxi which will take to right to the Corte Grimani's dock. It is expensive 80E..but well worth it and the tour by water taxi is terrific! Plus its fast! We took a large one bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms and a fold out coach in the sitting room. Take earplugs as the gondoliers start about 7am...but why would one want to sleep ion Venice?

This was such a nice suite hotel! Ours had a foyer, a large living room, a beautiful bathroom and a lovely bedroom. It was 100eu a night so it was much nicer than I expected. Clean and smelled fresh. The location was great too and views were superb. The only thing that wasn't perfect were the directions they provided. Make sure they give you better directions as it's not easy to find.

Résidence sympathique et spatieuse très bien située à quelques centaines de mètres de la Place St Marc et assez proche du Rialto. Un seul défaut : elle est difficile à trouver. Sortir de la Place St Marc, dos à la basilique, en prenant la 2è sortie latérale à droite. Longer les gondoles, franchir le petit pont puis tourner immédiatement à gauche, au niveau du distributeur de billets, sur le tout petit chemin qui longe le canal. Les apparte-ments sont grands, très agréables et impecca-bles. Une cuisine est intégrée (sup. 35 euro mais économies pour une famille) et il est mis gracieusement à disposition une bouilloire, 2 tasses, 2 verres et un tire bouchon. L'établissement propose des boissons (bière, vins, eaux) à des prix très raisonnables et à toute heure.

We had a fantastic stay - apartment exactly as advertised, rooms spacious and spotless, staff friendly and helpful and very prompt responses to queries. Fantastic value compared to a hotel room for a similar price. Lived up to and exceeded expectations. On a practical note didn't use the kitchen and kitchenware was not provided, minor extra cost for cleaning if kitchen used. Only minor issue was sound travelled through the floor - only an issue if someone upstairs leaving very early or when having a lie in while upstairs being cleaned. Can flood outside the front door at high tide in autumn/winter but there is another way round. All in all I'd highly recommend it!

Excellent location and excellent quality. Only complaint is with regard to the kitchen. As stated, there is a kitchen, but it was only when we got there that we were told that there is a €35 extra cleaning charge if we use it. This is way too much. As we were only there 3 nights, we decided not to use the kitchen at all, to avoid the charge. Would be much better to include the kitchen in the overall cost.

We had a really good time in Venezia. The hotel was perfect for us, because we travel with our 2 years old twins and it was really usefull for us to be in the centre of the city and to have a spacious room, and well equiped. When you travel with children is important to be able to cook their meals (otherwise they get tired of restaurants) and to wash some clothes (then you don't have to carry so many lugagges). In the rooms we had cribs for the babies and one babies chair, but in the common area there are no special facilities for children (like changing room or public areas). But the hotel staff is nice and Venezia has plenty of interesting things even for children.

A lovely property and location, very friendly and helpful staff. A pity about the building site next door, but only disturbed us on one morning. If you want the canal view, you must ask for rooms ending 01, eg 101,201, etc. Go to the residence's own website for detailed instructions on how to find the place - Venere's map is not much help. Overall, a brilliant location and excellent price for Venice.

Highly recommend this gem in San Marco- It's not cheap, but nothing is in venice, and the location, quality of room (superior room), and customer service are second to none. A genuine warmth and care from all the staff to ensure we had the best possible stay!

Struttura nuova, arredata con ottimo gusto e ricerca delle perfezione nei minimi particolari. Massima gentilezza e cordialità del personale. Appartamento 101 eccezionale. Un peccato tornare a casa!!!!!! Veramente a 200 mt da San Marco.

The family had a great stay in Venice and this is a very nice hotel. The one comment I have is a neighboring building is covered with scaffolding and the contruction workers come at 7:30-8:00 am and start making lots of noise. Therefore, if you want to sleep in late then make sure your room is away from the scaffolding. Unfortunately, there is nothing the hotel staff can do to change this situation.

We just returned from our stay at Corte Grimani, with our four children. The hotel was absolutely fabulous. Clean, spacious, modern bathrooms, very nice kitchen area and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location is exceptional and central to everything and each day we opened our windows to hear the gondoliers singing. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice. No complaints from us...we were just thankful that we found such a wonderful place to stay.

The best accomodation we ever had. The apartment is large and well furnished. The staff is helpful and exceptionally intelligent. You feel yourself as the guest of the Grimani family. The location is incredible - two minutes from San Marco Square. Try the breakfast in the cafes around Campo S. Luca.

We booked this apartment after reading enthusiastic reviews on your web site and found that it fully lived up to expectations. The location is central and easily reached from San Marco Vaporetto using the map supplied by The apartment was spacious and beautifully furnished and the staff friendly and helpful. If you plan to use the kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine it is worth bringing small amounts of relevant detergents as these are not supplied otherwise the equipment is excellent.

We have been in Venice several times but never have stayed at a more pleasant place. Our appartement was large, airy, elegantly furnished and although it had no view on the canal we were surrounded by the sounds of the city, the babbling of water, gondolieri singing their way to and from their "parking lot" in the Bacino Orseol. The greatest surprise, though, was the friendliness, politeness, helpfulness and efficiency of Corte Grimani's staff. We felt at home there like most welcome guests, an extraordinary experience in a city overrun by tourists.

The information on the site doesn't do this place justice. It is absolutely gorgeous - completely reburbished and really luxurious. The bathroom is unbelievable and the apartment has a kitchen with washing machine and dryer. We had an extra dressing room for luggage etc. The staff are really fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Access to internet to check your emails, room service, coffee anytime. Water taxi to the front door...this is the most luxurious place and way beyond our expectations.

I highly recommend this property. I found my apartment to be comfortable and well furnished and the location is ideal being within a few minutes walk of St. Mark's Square.

EXCELLENT - No other word to discribe our stay. From the friendness of the staff to the very nice modern clean rooms. Rooms are much nicer in real than in photo, no trick wide angle photography like you see elsewhere. Staff went out of their way to please us. Very nice location. Next time we go to Venise, there is absolutely no doubts in our mind where we will stay.

This is a 5 star hotel at a e star price!! Our family of six were very comfortable with our 5th floor apartment. It was spacious, pristine and very comfortable! The free internet was a boost and the recommendations for restaurants were great.

We can't say enough good things about our stay. We have been travelling Europe for 7 weeks and it is by far the best accommodation and service we have had. It will be hard to ever find a place to compare. France, Donatelle and Quido provided such a warm welcome that we felt like we were guests in their home. The also provided plenty of useful information about Venice. The apartment is immaculate. The decor is beautiful (cream and gold trimmings). The rooms are more like the size of a unit and easily of a 5 star standard. Separate bedroom, huge bed, great shower, complete kitchen (even has fine cutlery and tablewear). Even though you are staying in an apartment they provide service of a luxury hotel. We were so impressed we decided to extend our stay. For the price and quality of Corte Grimani Residence I would be very surprised if you would find anything to compare in Venice or even other less expensive cities. We hope to be back one day. It would be a great room for our honeymoon.
