our family has stayed at Esmeraldas several times before, this time it was my daugther and her friends beacouse we stayed at friend in a private residence. otherwise we always choose Esmeraldas and we also recommend it to all our friends who stayed there for the fourth year in a row. This time we stayed for 14 days

You get what you pay for. The rooms were extemely dated; one of the bed sheets were torn; also, remnants/hair from the previous customer was on the pillow. Disappointed with the room/stay. Next time I would spend a little extra for decent accomodations. Also, a little further from the coast/restaurants/etc.
