this is the best residence you can find in the Sorrento area, great location ,bus stop right in front ,excellent value for money.

Fantastic views, friendly staff, good bus service into Sorrento. The directions need to explain how to get from Sorrento train station to Le Terrazze (ie to get the Nastro Verde bus from outside the station or to get a cab). A few more basics in the kitchen would be a good idea, it would be difficult to self-cater entirely. There were no facilities for laundry in the apartments and no obvious shared laundry facilities. Worth asking - we managed without as we were going home next.

The room was very clean and the balcony had a fantastic view of the coastline of the Amalfi coast with Mt Vesuvius in the background. To get there it is quite a ride up a winding mountain road from the city of Sorrento. We arrived on a Sunday and could not catch a bus unless we wanted to wait for a long while due to the Sunday schedule so we had to take an expensive cab ride. The car rental places were also closed so we had to wait until the next day to rent one. We had a few bad experiences with one of the female workers who checked us in. She was not pleasant at all at check in and then when we came to the desk later to ask where we could go to eat in the area she sent us walking down the winding road and told us it was only 5 minute walk. It ended up being more like 20 minutes and later we found out from the wonderful waiter Francisco at the Palm Restaurant that they would have picked us up. They did end up giving us a ride back. Another great restaurant was "the Farm" and they also give you a ride to and from. It was so different and delicious set inside a decorated barn. I would recommend having a car as the bus ride from Sorrento is long, but parking can be tight as there are not too many parking spots. When driving a car in Italy you cannot be faint of heart,so beware. These accommodations were quite comfortable and the breakfast was very good and the view was the best. Our only disappointment was with the female employee who never smiled and sent us on a long unnecessary walk. We nicknamed her "The Countess".

Wonderful stay. The only complaint was that breakfast was a bit chaotic and needed some coordination by the staff. But this was compensated by the fact that the staff were really helpful and had lots of useful information. There was also a very detailed folder in the room of things to do and how to get there. A great stay, but recommend you use a car rather than public transport - some of the supermarkets in Sorrento give discount for parking.

The apartment was so far out of the resort a taxi cost 45 euros (£45!!) The bus service was hit and miss we waited 1hour 15 mins for a bus one day and 3 didnt come. The room was nothing like the photos on the website. The shower broke, the plug sockets were loose, there was no corkscrew, the shower flooded the bathroom. There was nothing to light the cooker the only saving grace was the staff and the view were lovely. It really spoilt our holiday and it was my husband's 50th birthday present - most disappointing.

After a one week stay we estimate it was a great value for the price. Antonio was very attentive and helpful to our concerns. Do not miss the best excursions by boat to Capri and Amalfi offers by Cooperativa S. Antonio, Marina del Cantone, Nerano.

This hotel is a good 20 minute bus ride from the centre of Sorrento. It is more accurate to describe it as St. Agata - which is 1km away. Walking is not an attractive option, although we did walk to restaurants in St Agata on several evenings - there are no pavements and you literally take your life in your hands when walking along the road to the hotel. The buses are ok - reasonable price 2 euro single, reasonable reliability and frequency. Driving in Sorrento and particularly Naples is not for the faint hearted. The hotel provides a pleasant breakfast, but has no restaurant for other meals. This is a shame, as the views from the hotel are spectacular.Given my comment about walking it means bus or taxi every night just to eat. Hotel will recommend some restaurants that will collect and drop you off - although the one we tried ended up costing us double the prce of other meals. Trips offered by the hotel are also overpriced - be organised and get there under your own steam to save a packet. Overall though this is a very pleasant small hotel

Ciao!

A lovely hotel set high on the cliffs above the bay of Sorrento. The view from our balcony was just as fantastic as it looks on the website. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were all very helpful. If you are going by car, it is possible to avoid the traffic in Sorrento by taking the Amalfi road from Meta. This cuts across the peninsular. After a few kilometres you then turn right towards St Agata and Sorrento. Once you have passed the turning to St Agata on the left the hotel is about another kilometre on the right hand side of the road.

English readers, see lower ... Excellent ! English version : Excellent ! Exactly what we hoped. Four persons appartement, kitchen, air cooling, balcony, swimming pool, breakfast included. Staff very efficient and pleasant, from early morning to far in the night ! Bravo and many thanks ! Parking a bit too small but the car had a place and stayed there (public transport preferable according to the local traffic). Exceptional viewpoint, noise acceptable, drinks at every time, Internet Station and even WiFi possible ! So nice stay ...

Staying at Le Terrazze definitely made our holiday! This place has beautiful views from just about everywhere! Our apartment was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Kitchen area included fridge and 2 electric rings (no oven). Plenty of pots and pans, but glad we took our travel kettle. First week in April was a bit cool at times, but the air-conditioning unit doubled as a heater. On hot days we could relax on our terrace, soaking up the views, whilst teenage daughter lounged by the pool. Don’t think the hotel expected the pool to be used at that time of year - water looked rather cloudy and had a plastic pipe floating in it! We were assured that it was OK to use - but too cold for us anyway. The apartment was cleaned, tidied and fresh towels provided daily. The manager was very friendly and courteous. We looked forward to breakfast – help yourself to cereals, delicious bread, rolls, pastries, juice, teas (various) and coffee. (Getting to breakfast promptly is rewarded with a table by the window.) The only disadvantage to staying at this hotel is taking the bus to Sorrento (15 mins/1 euro). The service was generally reliable, but on Palm Sunday the bus didn’t come and we had to make alternative plans. Make sure you pick up a timetable from Reception and don’t miss the last bus back from Sorrento, about 10pm I think. However, waiting for the buses proved to be quite a sociable event as there were often other guests, all trying to get their heads round the timetable! Any inconvenience was outweighed though by the hotel’s proximity to S.Agata. It’s a pleasant 10 minute walk up to this small town where we could buy food for packed lunches, and a little further on is the Il Deserto convent.

The staff were excellent the service was amazing. They were very helpful and passed on useful information. We will be returning next summer and I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Upon our arrival Katia greeted us and was very helpful with bus times and other local information. The manager Antonio continued the excellent service for the duration of our stay. I would also recommend a local restaurant called Dom Pedro.

A1 ‘FIRST CLASS’ 5 Stars! These are the terms I would use to describe our holiday in Sorrento spent at La Terraze. Only a ten minute journey by bus to the centre of Sorrento. La Terraze is set high in the Sorrento Hills. We spent from the 1st August to the 10th August there and were blown away by the magnificent views from our terrace apartment. Our room had a shower, basin, toilet and a bidet; a small kitchen and eating area and a double bedroom……with AIR CONDITIONING. The bed linen and towels were changed EVERYDAY and the room was cleaned EVERYDAY. This was a pleasant surprise and made us feel really special. From our balcony we could see Sorrento town, Naples and Vesuvius. The breakfast was light; cereal, yogurts, bread, jams, croissants, fruit juice, tea/coffee which satisfied us until lunch time. The local bus ran to time taking us into town and taking us home. The taxi fare was expensive 27E from town to La Terraze. (we only caught the taxi once.) It is a good idea thought to get a taxi from the airport to La Terraze as this is stress free. (Cost around 100E) but well worth it. We were able to visit all the sights in and around Italy. The Amalfi Coast; Capri; Pompeii; Herculaneum and we even had a trip to Rome on our own by train for the day!! (not recommended for the faint hearted or if you have children). It was a 14 hour day but well worth it. Other times were spent lounging by the pool which was set in a sun trap on the lower terrace. All in all a FANTASTIC time was had at Le Terraze and we would recommend this to anyone going to Sorrento.

My daughter and I stayed in an apartment here, which easily could have accomodated 4 people comfortably. The surroundings are beautiful and we had a great view! The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and pleasant. The only issue we had here was a freezer that was overtaken with ice mass, which we defrosted when we arrived. If you stay here, take the Sita bus from the Circumvesuviana. Call the hotel when you arrive on the train and ask which bus you should take to the hotel. We took a taxi and it cost us $35! Overall, this was a great place to stay!

Antonio and the Staff of Le Terrazze could not do enough for us. We had stayed at Le Terrazze once before and this time brought our families with us for our wedding in Sorrento. The service, standard of accommodation and unbeatable views of Sorrento first class. The only disadvantage is getting to and from Sorrento. There is a bus service which will get you to and from the town for €1 each way (tickets are available at reception). The only problem with the bus is that it finishes at 22h and you can pay anywhere from €25-€40 for a taxi(one way!!) The best rates for taxi's are available through reception at Le Terrazze. If you have a car Le Terrazze is an ideal location to explore the rest of the amazing Amalfi Coast from. I would have no problem recommending Le Terrazze and would return if visiting Sorrento in the future.

Note that this is hotel is not right in the center of Sorrento, but up the hill a ways. There is a bus stop right out in front to take you to the city. Still, it is quite nice, and I would recommend it.

We had a wonderful time staying at Le Terrazze. The view of Sorrento and the Bay of Naples from the hotel is breathtaking. The rooms were clean and large and well worth the price. We had a problem with the drain in our shower, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. The breakfasts were satisfying especially when we had young children (1,2,and 5) to please. The hotel is a little far from the town of Sorrento if that's what you looking for, but there is pretty good public bus service that stops right out in front of the hotel. We also had a rental car, which made it easier for us, but parking and driving in Sorrento is no fun and we weren't even there at the height of tourist season. There's plenty of peace and quiet at the hotel and if the weather had been warmer we would have been swimming! The staff was very helpful too. I was highly pleased with everything.
