The Shivas Village hotel is located in Sivas, a typical Cretan town on the western slope of the Asterousia mountains, in the southern part of the island. The village enjoys a rich history and the surrounding areas host many important archaeological sights, such as the famous palace of Faistos.
Fine beaches, where visitors can practice many water sports, are in short distance: Matala, Komos, Kaloi Limenes, Lentas. Extraordinary landscapes and warm hospitality complete the beautiful picture. The cities of Heraklion and Rethimnon are only one hour drive away.
The Shivas Village is the ideal place for a relaxing vacation and the hotel's guests will enjoy a very pleasant stay due to the many entertainment & sport facilities available, including a restaurant offering traditional Greek cuisine.
The property is open from March until November.

Very good resort in a quiet zone, close to the beautiful minoic sites of Agia Triada & Phestos and to the well known Matala cove. Though Siva is a small village you risk to miss the hotel due to missing indications. Driving from Matala/Phestos the resort is on the left side of the narrow road starting on the opposite side of the main village place

How to reach Shivas Village
By car
Leaving the Heraklion Nikos Kazantzakis international airport, take the first exit on the right towards Heraklion city. Follow this direction for approximately 2 km and then take the motorway 97 Irakli-Tybaki, heading towards the South of Crete. After about 55 km you will arrive at Mires, where you must exit the motorway. When you go through Mires, turn left and head straight towards the palace of Faistos. From here take the main road and follow the directions to Sivas, which is about 8 km away.
By airplane
The Heraklion Nikos Kazantzakis international airport hosts daily flights serving various locations.
By boat
There are daily ferry and high-speed ferry services connecting the Athens port of Piraeus to the harbour of Heraklion.
By bus/taxi
The hotel can arrange pick up service from the airport if requested in advance. It is also possible to reach Sivas by bus or taxi, easily found at the airport bus station. Buses for Sivas leave approximately every 2 hours.
