If you want to visit Florence but avoid the hassles of the city, stay at Il Borgo di Villa Castelletti. You'll get an opportunity to relax in the countryside, swim, sleep indisturbed and have superb breakfasts, none of which can be achieved by staying in the city.

This is a great place to stay as long as you have a car, as it is outside of the local city (we had a hard time finding it in the dark). Their restaurant is excellent with comparable prices to other restaurants. The breakfast has a large selection and the desk staff of Diego, Allessandro and Sara (I think that was her name) was exceptionally helpful and friendly.

From the A1 motorway, exit at 'Firenze-Scandicci'. Proceed on the FI-PI-LI (motorway) towards Pisa. Exit at 'Lastra Signa' and follow signs to Signa.
From the A11 motorway, exit at 'Prato Est' and then follow signs to Signa.

By train
From the Santa Maria Novella train station, take the bus number 72 until Signa.

By airplane
From Florence airport: 6 km.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.

Check-in: the rooms are available from 2 p.m until 7.30 p.m. Later arrivals are to be communicated.

INCLUDED/NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE
Breakfast, daily cleaning service, access to the swimming pool and internet connection are included in the price.
Wine tasting and cooking lessons are not included in the price.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations must be made before 72 hours on the arrival date. In case of a late cancellation, no-show or early departure the hotel will charge one night's rate as penalty. For reservations made for the following dates: - from 15th to 21 June inclusive 2008 (Pitti Uomo Fair) cancellations must be made 7 days (14:00 local time) before the arrival date. In case of a late cancellation, no-show or early departure 50% of the total stay will be charged.
You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 3 days before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
