I took my mother on a holiday there for her birthday and was worried that for the good value price, we would end up with a shortfall on the quality. I couldn't have been further from the truth. The rooms, although not as luxurious as some were very spacious, immaculately clean and in very nice indeed. They gave a simple but more than adequate breakfast. Most importantly however, the location was unbelievable. The tour guide, an old englishman who had lived in the centre of Rome for 30 years was very impressed that I had found such a place, particularly at such good value. I don't normally like walking about that much, but found that I could get to most places from here in not long at all. (Word of warning - take comfortable shoes for Rome - the cobbled streets are very quaint, but not practical for the pedestrian! All round highly recommended.

Domus Romana is in an excellent location within walking distance of sights/metro with restaurants and shopping just around the corner. If you are searching for a good, clean hotel at a reasonable price look no further - this is the one, highly recommend it.

Excellent location.Very good bedrooms.However I would rate facilities as 4star guest house rather than 4 star hotel.

We were a party of 7 divided into 2 rooms. They told us the rooms we reserved were not available so they gave us a suite and junior suite. Large comfortable rooms. Uncomfortable couch pullout. They allowed us to check in at about 10:30 am which was also very helpful.

By car
From Grande Raccordo Anulare, exit at 'Roma Centro' and follow signs to Palazzo del Quirinale.

By train
From Termini train station, take the underground line A, and get off at the Barberini stop. The Serviced Apartments are located 200 metres ahead.

By airplane
The Roma Fiumicino airport is connected to the city by highway or by a local train service, called Leonardo Express, leaving every 30 minutes for Termini station.
The Roma Ciampino airport is just a few bus stops from underground line A terminus Anagnina. The ride to Termini takes about 20 minutes.
