We have stayed in the Cuidad Blanca before in August of last year. We booked through Venere as it was extremely good value - the price stated half board included but on arrival we were told it was room only. Because the paperwork confirmed half board they honoured it with no problem whatsoever. The hotel itself is in an excellent location, the food is extremely good and the rooms are cleaned every day. After midnight all entertainment stops and we found the hotel to be quiet. There are two swimming pools and there was never a problem finding sunbeds.

Reception did not get my full Venere booking details. Booked half board, but the info they had did not refelect this. It was sorted out though. The Iberostar Ciudad blanca is where you need to be location wise. Ideal location is the 5 star hotel Sunwing. Best hotel without kids is the 5 star Golf. The Harbour 5 star hotel (forgot its name)is also very nice. All other hotels are just plain adequate, may be too busy / small. No nightlife around harbour area.
