An excellent stay in a small, tidy room, a wonderful neighborhood. The bed was a little hard, but other than that, we'd love to come back.

This hotel absolutely met my expectations--I wasn't disappointed. It's new, clean, everything in good repair, the location is fine. My only complaint was the noise from the large metal gate below our window. People would walk through it & it would slam loudly at all hours. However, I sleep with earplugs, so this didn't get in the way of a good night's sleep. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying Paris, particularly if you want to save a bit of money by cooking for yourself: the studio apartments have a kitchenette with microwave, cooktop, fridge, sink & basic cooking equipment.

Everything was exactly as was on the web page, very clean and modern, staff were very nice with brilliant english. For the location the price was very reasonable. I will definetly recommend Le 300 to a friend

Lack of airconditioning in rooms would make a difference - the rooms got very hot. They would also benefit from more twin rooms. This place is very much a budget option, but the staff are very friendly and helpful. Their breakfast option is far too expensive when you can get a better breakfast round the corner for half the price.

Enjoyed this hotel very much. The kitchen was helpful, in not requiring me to eat out every day and night. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. My only complaint is that without air conditioning you had to keep the window open and the intesecting street was very noisy. However, I am a light sleeper so may not be an issue for most.

we were happy with our stay here. the room in quite tiny but very clean and a great location. the kitchen is quite simple - good for small, quick meals but its very basic. the staff are wonderful - friendly, helpful and speak excellent English. my only suggestion - more toilet paper! We will be staying here again!

The Residence Le 300 is a good option for the budget-conscious traveler in Paris. While the rooms are smallish, they are clean and sufficient. The location is good, with Metro stops (Bastille, Gare de Lyon...) close by (5-10 minute walk). The staff was friendly and helpful. There are a little super market and some bakeries close by for all your self-catering needs. It would be nice if the residence would supply dish washing detergent, sponges, etc.

The residence is located not far from Bastille metro stop and Gare de Lyon, so easy reachable from the airports bus. I actually emailed them to know about the fastest way to reach there and they were very helpful. It's located just behind one of the main ophtalmologic hospitals in Europe, a very quiet road and there are: 2 pharmacies, an internet cafè and a supermarket (monday to saturday 9am to 9pm) so close, just behind the door! The people at the reception is very available to help with any directions or suggestions, and they talk English too, mixed with French tough but it's normal. Also the reception is open 24 hours so you can just get in anytime of the day or night. The studio has a small kitchen that is enough to cook decently, with plaques (to turn them on also turn on the timer or they don't work), microwave oven and some cooking stuff (pans, knives, forks...). But beware the non-stick pans are as usual ruined by someone that used forks on them so just be advised. The bathroom is big and with a huge shower, no bidet but plenty of towels provided, I stayed 5 days and have got 1 change. Everything was fine with the bed and linens, everything new and very clean. Breakfast is provided with a charge, is wanted. But beware of a few points, this is a 'residence hoteliere', they provide the apartment and a change of towels/linens if needed/wanted, they don't get in your room except for any cleaning agreed, so don't expect anyone to redo the bed if you don't yourself, also don't expect anyone to clean your dishes or take out the garbage, you do. Or they can do for you, but that's an extra you pay for, a 'residence hoteliere' does not provide it by default. They do have an internet service available but you have got to have your own laptop for it and enquire about the tariff, tough there is plenty of internet cafes nearby. One last word, the neighbourhood is very quiet, no troubles, I have been around there at late night and it's safe enough.

The place looks exactly the same in the pictures. There were no surprises. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, giving us lots of recommendations for the area and Paris in general. It is about 3 or 4 blocks from Bastille Metro Station so there was easy access to everywhere in Paris and it was also within walking distance of the major tourist spots if you are not in a rush. Great value! The only thing I would have to say was a little odd was they were stingy with the toilet paper. When we arrived there was half a roll with no extra rolls. We had to ask for toilet paper twice and each time they only gave us one roll. But at least the staff was always helpful and friendly when we asked.

"Le 300" in Place de la Bastille zone is a quiet, clean and useful base for your trips in Paris. Clean rooms, kind staff people and a really comfortable position makes "Le 300" a perfect place to sleep and to get ready for museum visits and city walks. Have a nice stay!

All the receptionists spoke good English and were very helpful. The small kitchen area in the rooms was well equiped clean and was excellent especially for preparing breakfast. A small saucepan to boil eggs for breakfast would have been useful. The super market around the corner in Ave Ledru Rollin was very convenient. We had two good meals in the restaurant on the corner of Rue de Lyon and Boulevard Diderot. We also had some excellent vegitarian meals in Le Potager du Marais, 22 Rue Rambuteau, very near the Pompidou centre. We enjoyed our stay and will retun.

Room was VERY SMALL! Bathroom good, but hot water was over too quickly. If you want your room was clean - always ask receptionist about it!!! Hoovering of catpet was bad! And they never take the garbage out, you should do it by yourself. Price is too high VS quality.
Australia, Jan 2009
We stayed at Le 300 over New Years and the staff we very friendly (english speaking). The area (in Bastille) is fantastic in regards to proximity to shops, cafes and restaurants, and a 5min walk to Bastille metro station. The room was clean, bright decor. The only improvement would be a toaster, considering it is self-catering.

The location is very pretty and it's good for a couple but the room is too little if you need to stay there for a lot of hours.

Great hotel in the Bastille Area. Not far from the metro. The staff was excellent and was able to help me in English as my French was weak. The Bathroom are good size for France and I had new towels every day. I will Stay here again. I always felt safe and the staff always had good recommendations.

I spent my holidays in Paris this September and LE 300 was a very nice apartment.Very good relationship price/quality. Location is good. You get metro station Bastille in 5 minuts. I recomend it.

Le 300 is perfect for budget travelers who want a clean room for a great price. It was close to the Metro and in a nice part of town. However, we were surprised about the lack of basic services which made our stay a little uncomfortable. There were 3 lowlights. I requested a hair dryer on day one, but a very demanding man at the front desk stalked me down on day two to get it back even though I still needed it. So I had to walk around Paris with wet hair. Also, the kitchenette was great but they didn't provide any sponges or dishwashing soap to clean dishes. The hotel only provided one roll of toilet tissue. When we needed a second roll the front desk said we would have to wait a little while until the woman with the key to the supply closet came back.

Very clean - it was briliant to have the fridge and cooker hob. Apartment building very quiet and nice quiet street for central Paris - only disturbacnce was sirens and cleaning lorries. Very friendly staff. Lovely area - go for a walk on Viaduc des Artes at the end of the street! We'd certainly stay there again.
