It was our first time in Milan, the Romana Residence was a prefect place to stay, just a short (less then 5 minutes) walk from the Doumo and the old city. It was the perfect blend of price and location.

I stayed at this hotel in November 2006 and was so impressed that I decided to go back. Unfortunately the standard isn't quite as good as it was. The rooms still have kitchenettes but all the untensils, pans, plates etc have been removed! Drinks are no longer offered at check-in but the free Internet access in reception is a welcome addition. The air con in the bedrooms was not working which made sleeping very uncomfortable. Having said all this, I would go back again. The location is perfect,the breakfast is one of the best and the staff are helpful.

Very nice place - easy walk to Duomo and other sites - good parking(25 euro) and easy access to outer loop if driving - best breakfast we had in Italy - great staff - our room was on the seventh floor and the elevator stops at the sixth, but we still love the place - I'd definitely stay there again.

The hotel is centrally located, the facilities are clean and the rooms are reasonably decorated. I believed the rate to be a good value for Milan. However, the top (7th) floor, where my room was located, seems to be significantly different from the rest of the floors. This is the attic of the hotel: the elevator does not reach this floor and the window in the room is very small so the room is dark. I did not like that the staff did not try to accommodate me in another room when I did not like the room I was given, even though I believe other, better rooms were available that were comparable to the one I had. I would not stay at this hotel again because I felt that I was given a second-rate room that did not resemble the room picture I viewed when I booked.

This was a very nice hotel, easily accessible from metro. The rooms were nice, large closets, bonus of kitchenette, excellent bathrooms, lovely lobby, welcoming pastries and drinks, and delicious breakfast. Free internet use was a definite plus. The staff was friendly and eager to help us with directions, inquiries, etc. We are pleased to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Milan.

This was our first visit to the residence and far exceeded our expectations. We found it difficult to find on the website as it is classed as a residence and not a hotel due to it having kitchenettes in each room! Ideal for a w/e or longer stay as you have the option of excluding the good breakfast and making your own snacks in the well equipped rooms. We arrived by motorbike and made use of the underground car park and a friendly doorman helped us with our many and heavy luggage. The staff were really friendly and made us feel more than welcome even helping to jumpstart my motorbike on our way to watch the racing later that morning. Fantastic people and fairly competitive for expensive Milan. The location is very central for visiting the historical centre being only a 10 minutes leisurely walk.

We spent a get away 5 days at the Romana Residence Hotel which was very outstanding. As we travelled most of Europe and the Caribbean we found this Hotel to be in a great spot in a big city like Milan. The standard of this Hotel was excellent. The idea of the little kitchen inside the room was very cozy. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast in the morning was very good and the lady who served us the cappuccino was really nice. The personnel in the reception were very helpful and kind: a special thanks to Marzia and Danilo always available to help. For the perfect location of the Hotel, we were able to visit the most important sites in Milan for example the Duomo, the Sforzesco Castle, La Scala Theatre and so on. The subway is about a 100 meters away from the hotel which gives you fast access around the city. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back.
