We had a mixed bag of experiences here. Front desk staff were lovely and welcoming, and the room was very quiet. On a different note, just after we got settled in to our room, a maid unlocked the door (without knocking) and came bustling in to check somthing on the bed without a word of apology for disrupting us. The room itself, had seen better days and was in dire need of a handyman. The kitchen cupboard was falling off the wall, the only thing holding it up was the tiles and powerpoint. We advised reception, who said they would have someone look at it - this didn't happen during our 3 day stay. The 'kitchen' was an old kitchenette with a temperamental stove, and about 70% of the supposed inventory / utensils missing. We really struggled to cook here. I do believe they are renovating soon though, this could make a difference. The saving grace was their going the extra mile to mind our bags for us on the last day. Reception closes on Saturday afternoons, and we needed to leave our bags somewhere for the day. The staff really went above the call of duty to make sure we would be able to come back and collect our bags.

Nice hotel, our room was equipped with small cooking niche and a fridge, which helps save money and guarantees cold beer ;-)

Perfectamente situado para conocer la ciudad a pie. Viajamos por turismo y estuvimos dos noches en el apartamento. Muy buen servicio, buena atención del personal. Además lo elegimos por contar con parking y resultó perfecto.

El precio es bajo y realmente no se puede esperar mucho más, pero las paredes están sucias, con el papel roto, el mobiliario es viejo y falta menaje de cocina. Hay muchas hormigas por el suelo. La ciudad es bonita y merece la pena visitarla

It is a low cost accomodation relatively close to the city centre. Not much comfort. But the room has a fridge and a microwave inside. Place is quiet. The area is quite nice, there are some low cost restaurants around. Some new paint on the walls in the rooms would be nice...

We didn't see the small print that the "hotel" is closed Saturday afternoon so we had to wait out in the street with all our bags until someone came along and let us in. Fortunately, the owner stopped by and we were able to get into our room. This is really a hostel with some "interesting" people who live in the residence full time. Rooms are large, with kitchenettes,and could be a good deal if you don't mind things a little funky. Theft is a problem (we were told) in the common rooms and the staff are not exactly friendly. They charge extra for every little thing. Fairly clean but peeling wallpaper, generally dingy. Location is easy to get into the main city, but quite a few beggars and homeless in the neighborhood. Fine for 18-year-olds traveling on a budget or maybe a large young family,not recommended for anyone who's gone beyond the college dorm stage.

This is a college residence that doubles as a hotel residence off-season. Rooms were in poor repair and stained. Only Elevator to 5th floor was not working on checkout with many suitcases! Not recommended except as a hostel.

They should buy new TVs. Venere should make appear tourism residences with hotels when price comparisons are displayed.

Nous venons de passer 4 jours à Lyon et avons séjourné aux "carrés Pégase". Je vais succintement énumérer mes impressions et je suis à la disposition des visiteurs pour plus de renseignements. LES MOINS : - la résidence est partagée entre touristes, étudiants mais aussi familles lyonnaises, résidentes de longue durée. Cela ne nous a posé aucun problème mais peut surprendre en arrivant et baisse un peu le "standing" de l'immeuble (nombreux panneaux du style "payez le téléphone avant le 15 du mois", etc ...) - état très moyen des chambres (tâches et traces sur le mur) et rien à voir avec les duplex qu'on voit sur les photos du site ! Il s'agit de simples chambres avec le strict nécessaire : un lit double, un bureau, une tv, un coin-cuisine avec éviers, plaques électriques et four (lire plus bas), une petite table et deux chaises, une petite entrée avec armoire-penderie, une sdb avec douche, lavabo et wc. - les "compétences" du personnel de l'accueil qui, bien qu'aimable et serviable, ne peut pas régler une télé ou même renseigner sur les chaînes reçues. - les équipements de la chambre : pas de linge de cuisine (pensez à prendre vos torchons !), pas de bouilloire (pour le thé), poubelle trop petite pour un séjour et - le plus étonnant - 1 chambre sur 2 est équipée d'un four traditionnel, 1 sur 2 d'un micro-ondes ! LES PLUS : - la situation : en plein quartier étudiant mais très calme (notre chambre donnait sur une cour), à deux pas de 2 arrêts de tram et d'une station de métro. Nombreux petits commerces (boulangeries, traiteur, superette), ainsi que des restos pour tous les budgets (du kebab au très select - et très cher - "en mets fais ce qu'il te plait") - le rapport qualité-prix et les avantages de la formule "appartement" avec kitchenette (qui permet de prendre des repas dans la chambre et évite le resto 3 fois par jour) - le parking privé et sous-terrain (10 € / j.) Une bonne expérience pour nous avec des prix hors du commun à 35 euros par jour (le prix d'un studio lors de séjours de 90 jours ou plus). La seule surprise est que le ménage n'est pas inclus ce qui n'était pas spécifié en ligne ou ailleurs. Nous recommandons, à 10 minutes par le bus 53 pour Place Bellecour ou 10 minutes par le tram pour la gare Perrache

Large rooms, good for families. Photos don't match actual room. Some renovation required (peeling wallpaper, elevator etc). OK for the price.

Four days. My only complaint is about the directions given by Venere for travelers arriving in the city by train or bus. All the directions are given for car drivers. Otherwise, everything was O.K.

The room was clean and spacious with lots of storage. Security parking was a huge bonus. Decore of the room and communal areas could be modernized and some repairs were needed. Overall, no complaints. Would definitely stay again.
