Nontas aparthotel is a new hotel in the surroundings of the town of Chania, not far from the beautiful beach of Agii Apostoloi and the town centre (you need a car). The rooms are spacious and are located around the pool of the hotel. The problem is that some rooms are facing the avenue, as a matter of fact, they are too noisy. In the summer the air-condition is necessary (extra-charged). The rooms are daily cleaned, but the towels are changed every 4 days, while the sheets every week ! The bathmat was only once in the 15 days changed ! Be careful not to brake any glass or cup, because you will have to pay it ! There was no television in the room. The swimming in the pool after 20.00 in the evening is forbidden. Generally, it is a cheap hotel, that is why there is a reduction of the services provided. We did not have breakfast (it was extra-charged). If you ever choose this hotel (it is not bad), ask for a room not facing the central avenue and take extra sheets and towels with you, you will surely need them, especially if you have children !

el aparthotel esta muy nuevo y los estudios apartamento, son muy espaciosos. los servicios correctos, pero te cobran extras por varias cosas, una de ellas el papel del wc, no te ponen y cuando lo pides lo cobran. habitaciones calurosas.

I booked this hotel 4 days in advance, to make sure we could get a room. I wasn't charged on booking, but my credit card details were taken as a deposit, so that if I did not turn up I could be charged. However, when we arrived at 10pm that night, having just got off a ferry, we were told by the hotel owner that as I had booked more than two days in advance, and not confirmed myself that I was coming, our room had been given to someone else! Now, if that is the case, if a hotel owner can cancel your booking, then my credit card details should not have been taken - the whole point was so that the hotel owner had a guarantee. So, we were offered a room in the nearby 'dream hotel', only 50m down the road, and owned by the same people, but this didn't have a pool which was the only reason I had chosen Nontas. We were allowed to use the pool at Nontas, but this is inconvenient so we didn't bother. And to top it all, they didn't offer any compensation or reduction in price. Also, our passports were taken from us when we arrived - apparently they had to take them to the tourist police - and we were not comfortable with giving them over for our whole stay so we asked for them back. As the hotel owners stay at the Nontas, it meant walking down there to get them, at which point they said - "Oh, well they're on the desk at the other hotel so if you want to get it just help yourself"! So we just took it, and coud have taken anybody's passports as they were all just lying there within reach. Having said that, they room was very good for the price we paid, clean and spacious. There were lots of supermarkets and nice beaches nearby also, and a regular bus into Chania. I would stay there again, but Venere needs to sort out its booking so the hotels don't panic and give the room away.

How to reach Nontas Aparthotel
By car
From Hania central bus station follow Kelaidi Parthenious street for about 100 metres. Turn left and follow Kydonias avenue. After about 300 metres turn left and take Kissamous street, following the indications to Kato Daratsos and to the bay of Agii Apostoli. The property is 350 metres away from the beach of Agii Apostoli.
By airplane
The Hania K. Daskalogiannis international airport is 20 km away from the property and hosts daily flights serving various locations. A frequent bus line service connects the airport to Hania centre and to Kato Daratsos: the bus stops just outside of the residence.
On leaving the airport, take the main road following the indications to Hania city centre. Follow this direction for about 5 km, until you reach the access to the national road 90 Hania-Kissamous. Enter the motorway and proceed heading towards the city of Kissamous. After about 15 km, you will find the exit sign to Kato Daratsos. Exit the motorway and follow the main road towards the town centre and the beach of Agii Apostoli.
By boat
There are daily ferry and high-speed ferry services connecting the Athens port of Piraeus to the harbour of Hania. A frequent bus service connects the harbour to Hania centre and to the property. Taxis can be easily found at the end of the wharf.
