Poppy, what a sweet lady!!! Very welcoming when you first arrive. The property is beautiful, not on the beach but close enough to Fira. (Be careful at night if you are walking to Fira because the road is dark and there aren't sidewalks...it's better to wait for the crowded bus) My only complaint is that I think they kept the same sheets on our beds all 5 nights we were there. And the young couple upstairs could be heard, very thin walls. But, I highly recommend this place for teenagers, college students and families with teenagers. Had a wonderful time!!!

The noise factor is a consideration but that is true in any hotel with inconsiderate guests. I think we were just unlucky.

Had a 10 days stay from 17. - 27. June at Villa Manos. Welcoming, helpful and kind employees, rooms small, but very clean! All in all a great stay at a very good price. Breakfast was included, and was not of the better ones. However, all other things weighs up for that

La reception et la gentillesse des propretaire (Poppy..) est parfaite.Le petit déjeuner est très bon, mais le point noir est la situation près d'une route très dangereuse pour les piétons et à peu près à 20/25 minutes de Thira. Il ni a pas de trottoirs et faire la route à pieds est vraiment très difficile et dangereux.Il est pratiquement indispensable de prendre le bus (1,4 euros aller+1,4 euros retour) pour ce rendre à Thira à 1,8 kms pour cette raison.Le coin est aussi très bruillant (camions,tracteurs,quads ..!!).Sinon, a part cela la villa est bien.

If Oia (in Santorini) is reknown for it's sunset, at Villa Manos you will have marvelous sunrise. 2 km from Thira (the main city of Santorini): it's close enough to walk, far enough to have a more quiet place then the main city. The bus (2 steps from the villa) takes you where ever you want on the island. We warmly recommend this place.

The hosts and the daughters are very friendly and welcoming. Got transferred to and from the port for free. breakfast was excellent! got air-conditioning for free as well. Overall, the service and the condition of room well exceeded my expectations when being charged a rather humble price. There was even a balcony and the hosts didn't mind us lining clothes there. Yet, the location is a bit of a problem after dark as the surrounding is very quiet without much lighting. Driveways are narrow without sidewalks. We cabbed back instead, but it didn't cost much.

Great place to stay - SUPER friendly owners, beautiful spacious room, amazing price. Only one minor complaint: pool wasn't open because it was off-season.

First of all, this is not The Hilton. This is a budget hotel. But the rooms are more than decent for the extremely inexpensive $35 Euro per night we paid, and Poppy and her husband are extremely nice people and wonderful hosts. They even pick you up and drop you off at the ferry terminal. The Villa Manos is about a 15 minute walk to Fira, but the buses are decent and come by every half hour. For a budget traveller, this hotel is excellent and we highly recommend it !!

Poppy y el resto de la familia fueron excelentes anfitriones. Tanto la habitación como el resto de zonas comunes fueron excelentes, en una zona muy tranquila, no muy lejos de Fira y con transporte público cercano. Poppy and the rest of the family were excellent hosts. Both the rooms and the rest of common areas were excellent, in a very quiet location, not very far from Fira and with public transport nearby.

This hotel is not exactly centrally located and you have to take a bus or taxi into town. Also, I felt the room I stayed in was over priced and many of the electrical things did not work - for example, there was no plug (of any kind) anywhere on the wall - in the whole entire unit. The staff was very very nice, but that did not make up for the other stuff.

This was a great place to stay. Poppi was a very welcoming hostess and we felt like we were coming home each time we came back to the hotel. Plus, it's beautiful!!

Villa Manos is an exellent place to know Santorini.There is a bus stop a few meters to the hotel, but I recommend to rent a car because it is a big island. Poppy and her husband are the best!. They offer free transportation in/out the hotel (invaluable)and are always ready to help you. They have internet a reasonable price and the refrigerator in the room was very useful.

Villa Manos is great for those on a budget. The hotel had great staff and rooms were cleaned each day. The breakfast was cheap and lovely, only 5 euro! The scenery could not be beat. You must rent a car or 4 wheel motorbike and see the island and the villa arranged cheap deals. They also arranged a great day trip to one of the smaller island for only 20 euro. We loved the staff were just so welcoming, like a family.

It was our first time we stayed at Villa Manos and we recommend it as an excellent choice for the value of money and the service with the most great owners you will ever meet.Take their advice on where to go and what to see in the island.The hotel and rooms are nice and clean.We had free transfer back and from the port. There is a bus stop out site the hotel to go to all areas of the island.We will come back.

Villa Manos is the best place that we stayed at in all Greece.We were there and we had an excellent time.All the hotel and the rooms were nice and very clean.The value for money is the best.It can't be better. The owners were allways ready to help with all our questions.They were really friendly and warm people.They gave us advices about Santorini and help us to rent a car for 20 euro 24 hours.We had free transfer from and to the port even that we arrived 2:00 a.m.We will reccommend it to all our friends and we will come back again!!!Thanks for the lovely stay!!!

We had a problem: when we arrived they said to us that the reserve of 2 rooms was cancelled because Venerates had not confirmed it, but Puppy gave to 1 room for 4 people 1ª us night (quite small for 2 pairs and with 1 single bath) and the following ones we had the 2 rooms that we had reserved (quite ample), conditioned air (5 €/day) and breakfast (5 €/pax) receives it aside. There same you can rent a car (very normalito and without A.A.) by 25 €/day and to contract excursions. The hotel is to about 20 minutes walking of the Thira capital, and the taxi leaves by 5 €/passage, also there are buses by 1 €/pax. Although Puppy did not speak Spanish and we very little English could be understood enough good because worried much to be made understand, and she is very friendly. Tuvimos un problema: cuando llegamos nos dijeron que la reserva de 2 habitaciones estaba cancelada porque Venere no la había confirmado, pero Puppy nos dio 1 habitación para 4 personas la 1ª noche (bastante pequeña para 2 parejas y con 1 solo baño), y las siguientes tuvimos las 2 habitaciones que habíamos reservado (bastante amplias), el aire acondicionado (5 €/día) y el desayuno (5 €/pax) lo cobran aparte. Allí mismo puedes alquilar un coche (muy normalito y sin A.A.) por 25 €/día y contratar excursiones. El hotel está a unos 20 minutos andando de la capital Thira, y el taxi sale por 5 €/trayecto, tambien hay autobuses por 1 €/pax. Aunque Puppy no hablaba español y nosotros muy poco inglés nos pudimos entender bastante bien porque se preocupó mucho por hacerse entender, y es muy maja.

External aspect of the hotel is nice but internal aspect oth rooms is shabby :linen is neglected ( sheets and towels are grayish and worn out )and the bathrooms are in unsatisfying condition. Hotel-keepers are pleasant persons and welcoming is hearty.Hotel is cheap but the breakfast is not cheap.

This hotel was wonderful for the price. We ended up staying more nights that previously anticipated and we were fortuante that they had availability. The staff on site which consists of a husband and wife are very gracious and helpful with everything from car rental to airport shuttle (if they are already headed that way they will take you to the airport). The showers are very small so be prepared for water to go everywhere (extra towels are a good idea in this regard as well). There is a pool on the premises that has a great view of the ocean. Be sure to rent a car as the buses aren't exactly the easiest way to manuever about the island. I would stay at this hotel again if given the chance.

We left few postcards with the Owners/management. We got back over a month now and to this date none of our friends & relatives receive any of our Santorini postcards.

Relación, calidad precio buena. Las habitaciones pobres de decoración, con cocina pero sin ningún plato, vaso....., amplias y bien situado el hotel, pero con problemas en el cuarto de baño, sobre todo en la ducha y toallas deprimentes.

Fantastic experience to stay in Villa Manos, Mrs Poppy was very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is perfectly located in a very quiet area at the center of Santorini island.
