The apartments offer a sober and elegant solution: floors and ceilings made in cotto, furnitures of the 19th century, everything well studied with care considering the needs of the present-day.

Serviced Apartment Residence Il Casale guest room apartment - room The residence features 10 sober and elegant apartments: floors and ceilings are made with old cotto tiles and antique furniture aging around the year 1800, everything carefully planned and put together in respect of the most modern way of living.

The apartments have two bedrooms, some of which with two double beds, some other with one double bed and a room with single beds, bathroom with shower and the living room with a cooking corner (fire spots, electrical oven, fridge, double sink).

The bedrooms are especially thought in the way they’ve been furnished. Antique beds (1700 and 1800), carpets who match the period of the furniture, practical closets also from the 1800 style. Everything is planned to match with the floors and the ceilings.

Every apartment has its own external space furnished with garden chairs and table, and inside provides satellite TV, air conditioning/heating and direct dial phone.

The three rooms apartament for 4 persons has two bedrooms with two double beds or one double bed and two single beds, bathroom with shower, living room/kitchen fully equipped.

Lovely, private location with splendid views over the valley whilst also being a short walk (about 10 mins up hill) from the town of Cortona. If you intend to walk at night, its a good idea to take a torch with you as there is no street lighting in parts. Was slightly surprised to find that the apartment was situated 5 mins away (by car) from the main complex which meant that you don't get the 'personal' service and have a person on hand to answer questions but on the up side you do have the privacy. The apartment was more like a mini detached house having everything you need (except a kettle!). The grounds were shared with two other apartments but the veranda, swimming pool etc were pretty much your own when you wanted to use them. Although elegant, the furniture isn't the most comfortably to sit on when you want to relax in the evening but I suppose you just improvise. On the whole I think it was a good location for couples wanting a quiet, private location whilst being a good base from which to travel to places like Florence and Sienna.

Excellent place to stay if you are in the are for a long period of time. The accomodations are excellent. The staff is a little weird. They have other jobs and are not always around. If you needed something you just didn't know where to go. I also felt forced out in the morning as there was no clear check out time. But over all a good place to stay.

Beautiful location and gorgeous apartment! Plenty of space, lovely staff, nearby store for supplies, easy to get in and out of Cortona, fabulous renovations recently completed. Apt full of antiques--modern bed for sleeping comfort. All together fabulous!

How to reach Residence Il Casale

By car
From Milan, Rome, Florence, exit from the Autostrada del Sole at Valdichiana and take the superstrada toward Perugia. After a few kilometers, take the secon Cortona exit. Continue through the valley, following the signs for Cortona until you arrive at Camucia. Take the State Road 71 in the direction of Arezzo. After 3 km from Camucia, you will find the signs to the Residence on your right Sodo (with its Etruscan tombs), you will come upon a view ofResidence Il Casale on the right.

By train
The closest railway station is in Camucia, but some express trains and Intercity trains stop at Terontola (approx. 10 kilometers from Cortona) while others stop in Arezzo (30 kilometers from Cortona and 25 kilometers from Residence Il Casale).

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in: the rooms are available between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. or by appointment.
Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than 10 a.m.

INCLUDED/NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE
Charges for a compulsory final cleaning are €50,00 for apartments that sleep 4 and €40,00 for apartments that sleep 2 or 3.
During the months of July and August there will be an extra charge of €9,00 per day for air conditioning.
Heating costs €13,00 per day.
Pets are welcome with a surcharge of €30,00 per stay. Maximum of one pet per apartment is permitted.
Baby cots are not included in the price and cost €26,00 per stay.
Additional beds can be provided against and additional charge of €52,00 per stay.
Use of the Wi-Fi Internet access is not included in the price and costs €5,00 every 30 minutes.

CANCELLATION POLICY
We will charge the 30% of the total amount at the moment of reservation that is not refundable in any case
You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 15 days before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
