bellissimo dormire in un trullo! l'angolo cottura, inoltre, è molto funzionale...è un'esperienza da fare, anche per l'ottima posizione, davvero centrale..l'unica cosa migliorabile è il prezzo, ma almeno per una notte si può fare!

We loved staying in the Trulli (with two bedrooms and a lovely kitchen and living room). The trulli was everything we hoped and the service was just delightful. Alberobello is truly a trulli heaven - great price and great accomodations.

The trullo we stayed is lovely! The location is nice and easy to find. Everything is clean and neat. Also hot water is sufficient. The only defect is that people were doing some construction next door, so we were awaken up in the early morning. The stuff is friendly and willing to help. We asked for a car service to Matera and the car is actually a van! Big and confortable! The driver is so kind that helped us carrying our heavy bags to the hotel reception in Matera(uphill and lots of stairs). Highly recommended!!

Very nice had to walk up hill with bags. The trulli was an adventure had low door height "cracked my head a couple of times". It was very hot during our stay and without airconditioning. But I did enjoy the facility and location.

The rooms are houses called trulli, the type of architecture that is so charateristic of Alberobello. It is a nice experience to be able to stay in one of these houses, they are very cosy. The houses are well fitted with kitchen, and very spacious inside with plenty of room for a family.

Alberobello is definitely a tourist trap and it was quite novel to stay in a Trulli house but in November it was VERY cold and someone had turned the heat off, even for the hot water. It was a fun experience but I don't need to do it again and we felt it was a lot of money for what we got.

We booked the trullis several months in advance on the venere.com website and were excited about our stay. The interior of the trullis in no way matched the lovely picture on the venere website. They looked like something your nana might have lived in. The decor was extremely outdated. There was no heating in either of the trullis, so we asked for extra blankets and these were provided. The showers ran out of hot water after 1 person showered - we had been cycling all day and had 4 people in one trulli. When we asked about this we were told the hot water systems are old and that we should have been warned about the lack of hot water at check in (we weren't). We were told the systems would re-heat in 15 minutes, but they did not. We were not offered any change of accommodation or alternative showers. Overall we were extremely disappointed by our stay. I think we fell for a big tourist gimmick. When we spoke to the manager the next day she asked us why we hadn't asked for nicer rooms and told us they had spare trullis that were as nice as the website, that we could have stayed in. The company owns a vast number of trullis in town which it rents out. We asked for a discount and were given 10% off. I would have trouble recommending this place to others.

My stay at Trullidea exceeded my expectations. Customers should know, however, that Trullidea offers their clients the opportunity to experience trulli living, as it was historically. Accordingly, this is not a conventional hotel with bars and breakfast rooms. The bedrooms are smallish, as should be expected, and breakfast is self-catered. But overall this is a great opportunity to experience traditional trulli living. My trullo was clean and the furniture offered character in a traditional setting. Bravo for creating this alternative to corporate, 'standardized' hotels. Staying at Trullidea was a very memorable and exceptional experience.

Staff were fantastic, as they met us at our car and guided us in to the trulli area, assisting us with parking. They also assisted us with finding phone numbers in planning our onward trip to Greece by ferry. It was a truly unique experience staying in a Trulli, and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. I would recommend it to anyone, although the steps may be a problem for some.

The experience of staying in a Trulli far outweighed the small breakfast provided there are plenty of places to buy extra supplies if you feel your waistline needs it. The staff was excellent could not do enough for you the friendliest people in ITALY. Trains do not run there on a SUNDAY so try to go any other day than a Sunday otherwise transfers are expensive!

This hotel was very nice. Not only did we get to experience the true Trulli House experience, the staff was very helpful and willing to go out of their way to provide anything we needed. The rooms we received were far more than we expected for the price. We were provided with heaters and amenities like full kitchen, dining table with all dinner ware. Good restraunts close and parking within walking distance.

Stuffs were very kind and friendly. OVerall, I really loved to stay at trulli. One downside was even though there were 2 heaters in my trulli, it was really cold at night. But it is trulli, I was very pleased to have an experience to stay such a wonderful place. If you stay at Trulli in winter, I strongly recommend to ask stuff to have an extra(more than one!) blancket.

I looked forward to staying in a Trulli and overall found the stay difficult. Breakfast in not on site and a number of blocks away. The breakfast itself was very good. There is no on site parking and because of a market starting early one morning we had to move our car to another location about 11:00PM. The office was several blocks away and because there was no telephone in our Trulli we had to walk to the office every time we had a problem. I would not stay here again.

Trullidea was one of the most charming, authentic places we chose. More a cottage than a room, we had a fireplace, beamed ceiling, antique furniture, a large bathroom and a kitchen. The shops and restaurants in the area were incredible too. Picturesque, lots of photo ops, fluent English...what more could you want? Would definately recommend and go back when we are in Puglia again.

We stayed at this traditional Trulli hotel over Easter 2005. Alberobello is wonderful, the people are extremely friendly and the accommodation was very cosy - you feel as if you have dropped into another century. The one drawback is that because these Trulli are so old, the plumbing is not what is could be. The miniscule tank only held enough hot water for a 2 minute shower meaning my boyfriend had to shower at night while I showered in the morning. A small price to pay for such an enchanting place. Go - you will love it. AND if you go at Easter you will witness a re-enactment of the cruxifiction. It takes about 5 hours and an actor plays Jesus who is forced to carry his cross through the streets after which he is nailed to a cross in the churchyard. It's a very special time for the Italians in Alberobello and they welcomed us along to this with open arms!

This property exceeded our expectations. We stayed 6 nights and used it as a base. The room was big, the heater was adequate, and the bathroom even had a counter, unlike the other 2-star hotels and B&Bs. Of course the setting is remarkable. Parking was not a problem in late September. As for the breakfast, it was a bit of a hike, but worth it. It was better than other 2-stars. The fresh fruit salad was a special treat.

Very large variety in room sizes, our friends got a 100 m2 four room appartment, whereas we got a 25 m2 room. Don't expect any luxury, but consider a 2-day stay in a trullo as an experience. Bathroom was very small (less than 2 m2), but clean. The Trulli "settlement" is nice, and close to the centre of Alberobello village, and you really live amongst the local people, who are very friendly. Overall, it was a very worthwhile and nice experience.

Although we had booked three nights, it was enough to stay two nights. We had to pay for three nights, but it was OK. Because not quiet, very noisy. At overmidnight we heard big voices including children. Breakfast service was offered from 8:30 to 9:30. Not suitable for earlybirds , and only for one hour. In fact it opened at 8:45 at last. At the table we talked with other guests about noisy nights, cold shower, and very small shower space. Staff were fine, but they were seemed to us inexperienced. Alberobello is excellent place, but now we think no need to stay there.

Very original accommodation in 500-year-old trulli, but the facilities were a bit stark and there were no public areas. Also there was no parking anywhere near the reception office, which was closed and locked when we arrived at 6pm (though it re-opened after a 15 minute wait). We were travelling with three children (the youngest of whom is 10) and we had asked for a double and a triple trullo. We were a little concerned to find the children were in a trullo in another street from us. But all these things considered. I would recommend this hotel for its novelty value. The "trulli" area was teeming with tourists and we felt pleasantly smug to be staying right in the heart of it!

It was wonderful to be able to actually stay in a real trulli house - really added to our Alberobello experience. we travelled here by train and were picked up at the station and driven back to the edge of the trulli houses, amongst which Trullidea's rooms are scattered. we stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast was served in a restaurant and was very good.Unfortunately we could not have our breakfast on the morning we checked out as the restaurant did not open until 8.30 am and the only transport back to Bari (it was a Sunday) left at 8.15am. we asked about alternate arrangements for breakfast but there were none and we were told there was no refund. they did offer a private taxi to Bari so that we could leave later, but this was beyond our budget. leaving here on a Sunday if you are using public transport is not a good idea as we could not get a ride to the bus stop(a bus replaces the train on Sunday mornings) because it was before 9.00am and there are no taxis in Alberobello. it was a long walk!

This is the only place to say when you visit la citta dei trulli. Located in the historic center of Alberbello amoung historic buildings was delightful. We expected a room and upon entering the trulli found a full apartment making our short stay most memorable. The very active area did not present any noise problems in the room. Very clean wonderful place to stay. Staff is bi lingual and very cheerful, helpful and pleasant. Only slight drawback with office hours being 8am - 8pm. The trulli was not in the main area of Trullis. We had to walk about 800 metres to a not very good, basic, breakfast. There was nowhere to sit outside as we were in a small side street. The trulli was damp, with wet walls in at least three places. One bed felt very moist. It was OK but disappointing compared to the other places we stayed in Puglia. That said it was not enough to spoil our stay but there seemed more accent on throughput of tourists than the quality of the experience.

The property was far too cold, with the standard heating provided inadequate. Although additional heating was provided on request, the electrical system was incapable of coping continually tripping out, requiring resetting. The shower was too small and the bathroom was almost unusable as it had no heating, reliance being placed on a window for ventillation rather than an extract system which in view of the cold was less than ideal. We have never been as cold as this in accommodation before! We even considered moving to alternative accomodation despite the perfect position.

I have read some of the reviews by others and some of the negative feedback amazes me, why do these people not read up and research before they travel? Anyway it totally lived up to expectations form us and there really is a "magical" feel about the Trulli village at night when the majority of day trippers have left. The wonderful restaurants within easy walking distance are cheap and we did not have a bad meal all week, wine is plentiful and even better value!! Alberobello is a bit remote but whilst this is a drawback I think it possesses an air of exclusivity, whilst remaining homely. All of the staff we encountered were very pleasant and friendly and the Trulli itself was clean and spacious, cosy and very good value. I would definately return here and use as a base to discover a bit more of this fantastic region.

The facility was very, very crude, the rooms were hot and stuffy as there was no ventillation and the "reception" area consisted of a small stuffy office with very limited hours, staffed for most of the time by rude and incompentent staff. (the only time I received any decent service was when I was paying my bill!) It is basically a stone structure (a Trullo) constructed in the 1400's with some beds, funiture and plumbing added. It was the equivalent of camping in an ancient crude, stone hut with no ventillation. Temperatures were above 90-100 degrees F and I had to argue with the managers wife just to get a broken fan. It should not be described as a "hotel" it is not. I travel internationally a great deal and this is my first experience with your web service and my first time is such a substandard facility. My experience with this facility was so poor that I would hesitate to ever use your service or any hotel associated with your service. Brunella Ibarrola

The main two things that bothered me were: noise level in the evenings was unbelievable...even at 2 am. And we were told we could not use the kitchen which was why we picked this room...I have a baby and needed to wash bottles...our friends were told that we had the B&B prices and that if the kitchens were used, we would be charged a higher price. Luckily, I brought enough bottles I didn't need to boil any, but had I needed to, I would have been very upset. Overall, it was wonderful to be able to stay in this homes and we would choose to come again.

Great welcome. Host Dino, reflects the typical warmth of the people of Southern Italy. If you are nice to him, he might even gift you a bottle of Nero Amarro, a fine local wine.Alborobello is a beautiful and can set the scene for a romantic stay. Staying in a trullo will be my recommendation.Restaurants are very good and reasonably priced. It is also a lovely drive to Martina Franca and Locorotondo.

this was definitly not a 4 star hotel. actually it was not your typical hotel. it was really an apartment. the bad thing about the trulli was the shower-it was supposed tobe hand held when inserted in the bracket it fell on my head--also the water came out onto the floor. importantly, we had to parksome distance away and drag our bags up a hill to the room. since there was no porter to help.. otherwise we enjoyed the experience of a trulli room.

The Trullidea was "trulli" wonderful! In addition to being very cute and nestled in the midst of the trulli area in Alberobello, the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, an excellent value for the price.

We weren't expecting too much since the price was very reasonable. The rooms were small but we enjoyed staying in an original trullo. I didn't realize the rooms were houses scattered around the area. We had a very nice time & I would recommend it to others.

Interesting stay in a traditional property, right in the historic heart of Alberobello. Would recommend to all.

It was a wonderfully picturesque place, with a very unusual-looking hotel. The children loved their bedroom alcoves, and having a garden made all the difference to their ability to concentrate on the sights afterwards.
