Terrible Air conditioning in our room - to make the story even worse the hotel management stops it completely in a morning (08:20), hotter than hell

Nice little hotel near the main shopping streets and not too far to walk to the Mezquita and other attractions. Our room was a decent size and nice and quiet. Breakfast was included and there was a decent buffet selection to pick from. You may wish to specify whether you want a smoking or non-smoking room, as they don't seem to ask.

Well what can we say but excellent. Great restaurants near buy. Even Lonely Planet came up trumps this time round. Perfect hotel to stay at. 10 minute walk to train / bus station. Need to pay for WIFI. 3e x 3 hrs or 9e x 24 hrs (not a bad price). Unable to comment on breakfast. We always eat out. It was 9e for each person. This is common in most hotels. A bit expensive for us. Location was good. Were able to store our luggage as our room was not ready when we got to Cordoba. Did not use the restaurant. Was close to shops and sights.

The hotel does not have free wireless internet. It is 3 Euro for 6hrs.

We were very comfortable at the hotel and found the staff to be very helpful. Loved Ulalah in the Conception Steet especially their eggs and bacon breakfast.

Stay in Cordoba 2 days. The hotel location was excellent. Everything was within easy walking distance. There is a great bakery around the corner for breakfast.

This hotel is a two star hotel in the real sense. However, because it was the only available hotel at a price of 50 Euros for a double room, we decided to stay here overnight, and hit the road the following day. Nothing special.

the room was at ground floor, very spaciuous but dark and no air circulation. when we took the shower, all the bathroom floor was wet, because it had a disabled-equipped bathroom. The palce is in the city commercial centre, you reach the mezquita in a 15 min walk

The staff wasn't kind at all from the first. We received very dark room facing the small patio. When I asked again, they said that there were only 10 rooms with terrace out of 110 rooms so again, the chance is literally very low. However, the bathroom shower was quite good.

Este hotel fue muy buena. Toda esta bien. La cama muy comodo y estaba muy central de Cordoba. Tambien hay wi fi que es muy importa para buscar otro hoteles. No hemos comido dentro el hotel pero me parece que puede ser muy bien hecho. Mucha gracia a todo

Staff was nice especially the room cleaning ladies. Mini bars are not stocked in any room apparently. Also our mini bar fridge did not work and asked 4 times to fix. Shower very good with strong pressure. A/C Ok but it was cool that week in Cordoba. Easy walk to all the sights and to the normal NON souvenir shops. Has a great grocery store in the street behind to buy what you need for the room. Had no view in the room but that did not matter as we were there for the feria and the bullfights...so came in pretty late every night. Great restaurant is El Currasco..not sure if the spelling is right in the jewish quarter. fabulous meats and fishes that are wood grilled. Do try this place you will not be sorry.

The garage ha very little entry ( If you have a big car, youa re sure to have problems. Room service is a dream

The rooms were immaculate and the service was great, but the doors were thin and the chambermaid walked in loud heels very early in the morning - on the marble floors!

excellent quality hotel for the price, comfortable double bed, nice old fashioned individual decor. We were only staying overnight in transit; Will come back to explore Cordoba

The hotel is well located and close to main attractions. It is close to a busy shopping area and La Mesquita is about 15 min walk. Parking is tight but the staff was helpfull when trying to park. Rooms are small but clean.

No remote control for the TV in the room and it's difficult to park the car.

Hotel Selu is a very nice hotel with very friendly people and a good service.

Nice, clean room in a convenient location. Easy walk from the train station and the Mezquita. You can hear other people come and go, but the noise was not bad enough to be a problem.

Narrow street entrance to hotel and garage (narrow entrance). Not very professional staff, but ok for price I guess.

Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo per posizione all'incrocio tra vie di grande comunicazione (possibile parcheggiare gratis), zona monumentale e centro commerciale. Non ottimale l'accoglienza, anch eperché le stanze non erano pronte fin oltre le 14.

A bit too far from the Mezquita and the nice old area

Hotel tres bien placé avec parking payant. Chambre propre et employés accueillants.

L'hotel è situato in una buona posizione per visitare la città, è possibile muoversi a piedi tranquillamente e comodamente. Non semplicissimo da trovare!!! la zona è silenziosa e tranquilla. Le camere gradevoli, poco luminose, la finestra si afacciava su un micro cortile interno, non molto piacevole; l'area condizionata è centralizzata, è possibile solo accendere e spengere, il parcheggio caro!!! Parallelamente all'ingresso dell'hotel c'è su un viale in cui è tranquillo parcheggiare la macchina, costa 1 € al giorno!!! Cordoba è fantastica, oltre alla mezquita, visitate l'alcazar, vale la pena!

la stanza era molto curata e accogliente, fornita di frigorifero a disposizione del cliente. Il personale della reception non è stato particolarmente gentile a differenza di quello del garage. A proposito del garage il sito indicava 11€ a notte, mentre sul posto, nonostante noi avessimo una stampa della prenotazione su cui si ribadiva quel prezzo, ci hanno fatto pagare 13€.

Rooms were bit of an old style but spacious, quite and clean enough. Walking distance from the Mezquita (approx. 5 minutes). IMHO good value for the money.

Very small and unconfortable room. it is really too much the 95euros we spent for this room. The more exspensive Hotel in Andalusia for this type of hotel.

A nice hotel which is an easy walk through parks even with bags from the train station in the direction of the historical sites. The desk person gave an excellent recommendation for lunch at Gris's. Breakfast cafe con leche was automatic machine made and poor. Noise and cigarette smoke once came in the window from the airshaft but was not usually a problem. TV channels were great. Wifi is available for a fee. Thanks to venere, which donates to AMREF which helps people in Uganda where I was a Peace Corps Volunteer, the price was lower than we expected.

The hotel is in a quiet location (Monday night), within a 15 minute walk from the Train & Bus Stations, close to the shops and cafes, and within easy walking distance from the main touristic attractions. The price was good in March.

Very good hotel for us - a couple in their forties whose idea of exploring a new city is to walk all day long, using the hotel mainly for sleeping and the morning shower. So we like places that are somewhat minimalist and on the low price side, but also not cheap and nasty. Selu fit the bill very well. It was clean and modern, very conveniently located, staffed by competent people, and quiet at night. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Somewhat difficult to reach the site by car in the narrow streets. Thanks to our Garmin navigator we had no problems in finding our way. Using a medium big car (Saab 9-3 combi) we didn't dare trying to enter the garage in the basement. Splendid location for visiting the Mezquita and the city centre.

We enjoyed our stay, the hotel was in an excellent position for exploring the old city of Cordoba - the staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely restaurants nearby - all we sampled were good.

High standard, comfortable and tastefull. Sursprised by the standard compared with price. Nice but a bit reserved hotel employees. All right breakfast, good parking possibilies. Very good situated. Have allready recommended it to others.

Nice hotel - fine location

The receptionist was very kind when she let us check in so early. We had a comfortable stay (1 night). The hotel is close to the shopping and eating area and at a comfortable walking distance from the main touristic attractions. The price was great as well as the stay. If I would go back, I would choose Selu again.

We are a couple from Malta. We used this hotel just for an overnight stay but we had some time to visit some places. The hotel doesnt have much facilities and the tv is not much at all, no English or Italian chanels - just Spanish. The receptionists really were not helpful as they sent us to a flamenco show that was very expensive and a complete disaster. We worn any tourist that asks the receptionist for help as they will just think of the commission after what you will be buying. The only good thing is that this hotel has a carpark just under the hotel itself, it might be expensive but it was worth it as parking places are few even on a hot summer day.

Poor directions. Difficult to access. Poor parking facility. Gentleman responsible for parking made for a poor reception, otherwise, personnel at the desk were gracious.

Buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo, anche se la colazione è a parte. Grosse difficoltà per il parcheggio dell'auto, in quanto il garage era pieno.

Un pò caro il parcheggio

Veramente ottimo. Logisticamente perfetto. Solo un appunto per il parcheggio (12 euro al giorno) ma e' possibile parcheggiare sulla strada fuori l'orario di lavoro e quindo gratis.

A good accomodation, not much expensive!

L'arredamento delle camere e in particolare tende e copriletti coordinati con grandi rose ci hanno incantato!

ALtro Hotel eccellente, a 5 minuti a piedi da tutto! Le camere sono enormi e comodissime, il bagno ampio e pulito. Personale non troppo gioviale ma almeno non invadente. La TV prende anche RAI 1, per non aver nostalgia di casa...

Competent, friendly staff. Spacious lobby and seating.Good restaurants in vicinity. Easy walk to sites. Good garage parking. Difficult to find and access by auto with maps not indicating one way streets.

El hotel esta bien. Nada que hacer en los alrededores en horas muy entradas de la noche. Das Hotel ist O.K. In der nacht gibt es nicht viel zu tun. Aber sonst liegt es in der nähe von viele interesante platze

Standard town centre three star, expensive for what it is. A/C not working, mini-bar locked out of use, never saw the bar downstairs open, all standard stuff, have long since given up complaining about such things.

The photograph was completely deceptive and was quite surprised when the facility was in a small alley !!

does not worth to go there

Hotel provided excellent service and room was good. Being where it is, in Cordoba, the streets are one way and narrow so it is tricky to get to it, park and book in with a car but there is an underground carpark and staff are very helpful. We pulled in at a nearby junction; I waited in car while my wife booked in and had the carpark doors opened. Would use this hotel again.

Very nice, friendly little hotel... amazing location and quality for value... Full points. If you are looking for intimate and charm then this is it.

Very good stay. Good Location to visit centre of the city and the shopping areas.

Very noisy place - no soundproofing at all. You could hear *every* footstep in the room above, and every word spoken outside the door for 5 metres either way.

Generally a decent hotel. Close to shopping & eating. About 20 mins stroll to Cathedral that is certainly worth the admission price (a must see) We had 1 full day in Cordoba, probably enough to see all we wanted.

The rooms are good and clean but I had problems with the staff. I payed the rooms and parking the night before I left but the next morning they wanted to charge me again because the employee was a different one and he had nothing to prove that I've already payed

It seems a general rule that, if you book over the internet, you get the worst rooms (window to the floor or fire escape, such things). This was the case in Sevilla and Cordoba. So let them show you the room and change it if you like. This was possible for us. Also watch out that, if you book over internet, sometimes hotels refuse to change your booking (e.g. time of stay). After some discussion with Selu we changed it though, so don´t let them irritate you. Third, don´t expect ANY Spanish personnel to speak English! We travelled all around Andalusia, and even in international hotels the personnel didn´t speak a word English! You´re lucky if you get a receptionist speaking some words...

We stayed at the Hotel Selu in April 2005. The room was very nice, and large (by European standards). The hotel is located on a rather quiet street, good location, convenient to main sights. Only about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Alcazar and the Mezquita. There is a charge for breakfast, which we didn't have. We parked in the hotel garage for 12 euros per day (below the hotel). If driving to the hotel, make sure you have a good detailed map of the area showing the one-way streets (some are available on the web). Great value. We would stay again if in Cordoba.

Could have been better

Petite chambre disposant d'une seule fenêtre donnant sur l'escalier de secours... Pas de climatisation. Mini bar vide. Hôtel méritant au mieux 2 étoiles. Hôtel bruyant. Seul avantage : situation à proximité du centre historique de Cordoue.

The hotel is really difficult to find if you arrive by car,there was no parking available and the air conditioned was not working. I would not recommend this hotel.

The Selu hotel car park was full the day we arrived. The reception gave us a public car park address were we had to pay 12 Euros per day. What would be the price for a place in the Selu car park ?

A good hotel to reasonable price in the city itself with short ways to the places of interest; a good breakfast and good stuff. We can recommend it.

The supletory bed was very bad cuality, we had back ache for 3 days.The toiltet was not very clean.The second day we stayed there wasn´t any hot water,the receptionist told us the problem will be solve in 5 min but after we waited for nearly one hour, we had to take a shower with cold water.Apart from all this, the hotel is in a very good location to visit cordoba and very close from the bar´s and club´s.

This hotel is in a great location - sort of halfway between the train station and the main tourist area. The first room we tried had a heavy clammy, smokey smell in it but the second room was much better - still had a bit of a smokey smell to it though. It seems that everyone one in Spain smokes and they smoke wherever they want regardless of whatever little anti-smoking laws there may be. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. This is a good budget hotel.

Our only complaint was about breakfast: poor quality coffee from a machine and synthetic orange juice (although all the trees about the town were hung with oranges!).

LOVELY HOTEL ! Nice-decoration with full facillities in the very clean and cozy atmosphere. The front personnel whose his duty at afternoon till night period was very pleasant welcoming and provided great information on cities and travel for us.

Overall a very good experience. The hotel was under remodeling, so things were a bit noisy. The main point, the maps of the hotel should be much better nad the instructions how to get there with a car more explicit. Following the signs was good up to a point, then we got repeatedly lost. Otherwise, highly recommended

Located in shopping area, 12 minutes walk to Mezquita. We have nothing to complain about regarding our stay

The hotel ia a very good deal indeed! Close to all sightseing places without being bang in the middle of all the chaos, we can really reccomend Selu for those like us being on a tour of Andalusia and a bit fed up of arriving in places in the evening and trying to find the best deal. The result was very good, considering you are in a touristy town - the room was spacious enough and nicely decorated, a nice spoacious bathroom with double sink and a Jacuzzi shower, and air conditioning. Two (minor) problems: you could hear the people next door flushing the toilet at times and the parking is 11 Euros per night - still it is a good deal.

Right in the centre, close to the tourist attractions, this is an excellent location.

Well situated position and excellent value for money.Coffee and orange juice machines were not very nice.Real coffee and orange juice provided on the first morning were much better.

Excellent base for exploring Cordoba, a few steps from an excellent Plaza for eating and recovering. Staff very friendly and obliging for people a bit over-stretched by their work demands.
