Riad Sacr - Marrakech

Once you enter the Riad, it is a paradise, beautifully decorated and clean, however our first room, although beautiful and large, had little to no hot water and was very noisy. Although during the summer periods this may be ok, during winter a hot water shower is preferable after a day walking around the souks. Also another thing that was a little surprising was not to be given a key, either to lock your room or to enter the Riad. Although there was always somone to open the front door, not being able to securely close your room was a little unusual. We stayed at Riad Sacr for 4 nights and asked to change rooms after the first night, due to a lack of hot water and contast passers bys on the streets outside, which we heard throughout the night. We stayed at two other Riads during our stay in Marrakech, where we were always given keys to lock, eneter and leave as we desired. Although we had a 30% discount for staying for more than 2 nights, I belive the Riad was a little overpriced, considering al the options available in Marrakech.

The owners and the staff are the real thing there. Incredibly gentle, patient and helpful, always friendly and smiling. Extremely precious in Marrakesh, for a relaxed shopping and generally for a safe vacation. Therefore, for this reason, I warmly recommand this hotel.

The bathroom is awful..we could smell humidity..the rooms are too dark..I will never advise this ryad to anybody..not worth the price but people very nice..but it's not sufficient

We liked our stay at riad sacr very much as the family running this guest house gave us the feeling of staying with a maroccan family. we got lots of information and advice and were treated very friendly and service-oriented. the riad is extremely close to "la place" and to the souks. so it is right at the centre of things. actually we felt at home immediately and definitely will return some day. it was a good choice to book the "blue room" on 1st floor as it has more space in comparison to the other rooms. if tourists look for a riad which gives you the feeling of being chamingly welcomed to marrakech they should make a reservation at riad sacr. all the best to kenzah, assis and their mother and may many many tourists from all over the world stay at your guest house in this wonderful city. your's sincerely

At the beginning evetything seemed to be amaizing,the room was big and well decorated,but hot water wasn t working and it was impossible to take a shower because the water was flowing out through all over the bathroom.the room was cold.me and my husband booked that room for two nights,but the second day the woman told us that we couldn t stay cause she had to give the room to some others guests,so she send us to another riad far far away from the medina.

Charming, Arabian Nights atmosphere, beautifully furnished in true Morroccan style - lots of extra touches like ornate mirrors, wrought iron, rose petals, soft lighting from Morrocan lamps, candles, incense, etc. Friendly, helpful staff with really good ideas on what to do or where to eat. The Riad nestles in a small alleyway in the medina, well-lit at night, yet still mysteriously intriguing. Within walking distance of everything in Marrakech old town.
