The Personal care and attention of Paolo, Mohamed and Fatima made our stay fantastic. We felt looked after and cared for from the moment we arrived at the airport until we got into the taxi to go home. Top Rate!

Service and hospitality: GPaolo was the perfect host. After having stayed in a large hotel with lousy service and grumpy personnel for the first few days, it was a welcome change. GPaolo immediately helped with mentioning sights to see, restaurants to visit and organizing day excursions (without pushing them). As we aren't fluent in French at all, this was a huge help. The staff were warmhearted and always ready to help. The location: In the neighbourhood called Kasbah. It's 5 min by foot to the Djemaa. Great location. Kabah is still very authentic and full of the true Marrakesh. And yes, safe as can be. Food: The breakfast was simple but everything was fresh and absolutely sufficient. Enough to get you up and running and off to a good start. Rooms: The room we had (the one with the brickwork) was nice, but a little cramped for a longer stay. I must say, that the other rooms we saw while there were spectacular. Ask for them! Not too quiet though, the muezzin truly gave it his all and a rooster that lives next door kept me from sleeping all too well after 5 a.m. but that could be just me... Atmosphere: Nice and authentic while not being too over the top. The place isn't brand new, but so what? Everything works fine and you're in Marrakesch. If you want it ultra-modern go to a sofitel... In sum: A nice place to stay, great location, price ok, warmhearted. Just try to get one of the larger rooms. We strongly recommend this riad.

We found the Maison Arabo-Andalouse fantastic, 10 minute walk to Djemaa El Fna, very central but relaxing and quiet within the riad. We booked the Junior suite which was roomy with lovely moroccan decor. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The mint tea at breakfast was fantastic.

Wonderful staff, warm, genuinely friendly in an absolutely lovely riad. Conveniently located. Room #2 with a large terrace is the best. You'll love this place. Badi palace is close by; Jmaa el Fna is no more than a 10-15 minute walk.

The riad was perfectly positioned, extremely well priced, had beautiful suites, a plunge pool and rooftop terrace. However, where it was unbeatable was in the quality of service. The Italian owner and three Moroccan staff were full of tips and information and organised everything we wanted without forcing any trips on to us. The Moroccan Manager always insisted on taking and collecting us from night trips to restaurants in case we got lost! The key is that they all seemed genuinely to like and enjoy their guests and wanted their stay to be special.

We stayed a week in suite 6. The host and staff were very helpful and courteous ( Mohammed and Fatima ). Nothing was too much trouble. They did not speak much english but we still managed to get by with a bit of broken french and english ! The riad was lovely and quiet and we were served a lovely breakfast every day at whatever time we liked. On the first night, Mohammed actually walked us to a restaurant in the medina so we wouldn't get lost. Another time, he gave us the raincoat off his own back to protect us from the rain. He was also able to book some tours for us which was very helpful. We would stay at MAA again without a doubt.

If we had realised how much better the more expensive rooms were we would probably have booked one. Perhaps more information on the facilities available for the different prices would help. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly.

This was a great place to stay. We stayed last November and have just staken a long time to write a review! The welcome from Paulo was very warm, very Italian and other staff very very friendly any time we met them. They antipciated out needs very well. There were not so many folks staying when we were there which I think made my wife feel a little self-conscious. There was also some emergency plumbing work, which cant be avoided. Also the breakfast was fairly ordinary, but i think that is definitely fair enough for the good value of the Riad. The that brings me to the obvious strenghts. It is the feeling that you are getting something authentic and Morroccan, even if it is not by any means normal life in Morrocco. The Riad is part of Moroccan culture, and if you take the time to look, you see a beautiful, ornate building and incredible designs. Even the brickwork in the rooms is phenomenal, like nowhere else you will have stayed in, absolute niche! However, it does not feel like five star, because if it did it would not be very authentic. However it is very comfortable indeed, the bathroom and bedrooms were very good, and the little courtyard was very quaint. The roof terrace is beautiful, and to be literally 10 feet from the walls of a ruined palace (which is part of the tourist recommends for Marrakech) is indeed unique! Be sure you want to stay in the busy Old City of Marrakech, because as soon as you step out the door, you are in an alleyway in the thick of the action! (although it is really quite in the Riad). So if you want peace to get away from it all, you may want to opt for a place out of the Old Town, but what would be the point in being in this amazing city then! Well done Paulo and team!

Lovely ryad a short walk from the square that would cater to anyone; however, families looking for a "hotel" experience - access to TV, phone, wifi, etc. - this is not for you. beautiful, romantic, authentic Marrakesh. We ate one meal in and the chicken pastilla was delicious - highly recommend it.Paolo and staff are the best - solicitous, extremely helpful and very welcoming.

I was in marrakesh with my 8yr old daughter and we both loved this riad. The staff was wonderful, the rooms beautiful and the food delicious.I would definitely return. We had originally booked because we had read good things and because there was a splashpool. She did go in it but it was freezing and it's right in the lobby.Still we're happy with our choice. thank you.

I spent quite awhile looking through different riads and reviews before deciding on this one. I chose this because it got good reviews, was in a good location and had a plunge pool. All the staff there could not have been more helpful and friendly - even though some of them didn't speak English, this was never a problem! We are so glad we chose this riad as it made our stay in Marrakech a trip we will never forget. The location was an easy walk from all the main attractions, our room was beautiful (and we paid for the cheapest room only 74 euros per night), service was friendly without being over-the-top, and the riad itself was amazing. Breakfast was also lovely every day, and we enjoyed sitting up on the terrace watching the storks on the palace ruins. I would highly recommend anyone going to Marrakech to stay here. Great value for money and everything you could want from a riad!! Perfect!

We are so glad we chose to stay at Maison Arabo-Andalouse while attending a conference at the Palais de Congres. It was so much nicer than the hotels near the conference centre and yet it was easy to get from the Kasbah area to the conference each morning and easy to get back in the evening. And the staff at the riad got up early so we could have breakfast before leaving for the conference. Most of our friends who also attended the conference stayed in the large hotels. When they came to see our riad and were so envious. One said: "We feel like we are staying in Europe and you are staying in Marrakech." I am not sure if other riads were as nice as Maison Arabo-Andalouse. I can't imagine how any could have been nicer or more welcoming or helpful.

A lovely oasis in the heart of the Medina, very well situated to explore all the main sights in Marrakech. A warm and attentive welcome and very pleasant staff. Rooms were traditional and very nicely appointed, but in keeping with the traditional Riad-style. If you want a real taste of traditional Marrakech and a very peaceful stay, this is the Riad for you. The only downside was the price, but this was due to the fall in strength of the Pound against the euro - not a reflection on the accommodation being overpriced.

Very conveniently located in the medina, a short walk from the Djemma el Fna, the center of life in the medina, while not close enough to be disturbed by noise, etc. Also near the Saadian tombs and the spectacular and fun souks. And ... it is possible for a taxi to get within a 2 minute walk to the entrance to this riad.

A beautiful house where the owner and his little staff took care of us as if we were personal guests - not paying tourists. They arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport, and sent a man to meet us where the car had to stop - and guidesd us to the house through narrow streets. Great location, great floor terrace, nice breakfast.

What a wonderful haven well-positioned in the Medina. The rooftop terrace adjoining the historic palace ruins with storks nesting on every high point is marvellous. We were treated like old friends by a most attentive host.
