We agree with the other recommendations: REALLY EXCELLENT. If we would visit marrakech again, we would only stay there and we stayed at some other places (riads),so we are able to compare. The other riads have been a little cheaper but the difference was huge. (If you are travelling on your own, you must be aware, that the riad is located in a maze of small and partly dark streets.)

The riad is down a very dark pathway, in the middle of the medina. Once inside, there is plenty of light and remarkably beautiful surroundings. It has undergone an amazing renovation and is now decorated with beautiful artwork, tilework and fountains. The gardens and terraces are beautiful as well. The staff is very friendly and tries to be helpful but because the house is old and because it is an old section of the city, we experienced a few problems. Our room on the third floor was small, the heat didn't work the first night, (we were there in November) there were plumbing problems (slow drain) and TV issues (turning it on, then getting a station). And the wi-fi is just on the first floor. That said, we would not have encountered some of those issues in the summertime. And, if you want to experience being in the middle of the old city, and the heart of the marketplace, then this place is perfectly situated and the atmosphere inside is outstanding.

This is a really wonderful place to stay in the heart of the medina. Patrick and his staff could not be more helpful. Meals are splendid and the location is great. My only caveat is that it is just about impossible to find this riad when you first arrive, although it is easy to find your bearings within a day. (But I consider that a plus; this is really an authentic riad and not a tourist trap.) Write ahead and ask to be met at the train station or airport --- it will save you a big headache!

If you can catch the owners they are a wealth of helpful information about nearly anything you need. Rest of staff is wonderful as well. Would definately stay here again if in Marrakech. The location was perfect for walking around souks and evening stolls into the main square.

Staying here was my favorite part of being in Marrekech. A little hard to find on your own but was worth it so peaceful and quiet... The owners and staff were lovely and very thoughtful and helpful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We loved this Riad and would stay there again. It is a beautifully renovated 300 yr old Riad deep in the Medina. You are a quick (or longer if you stop to shop) walk to the main square. The staff was very helpful, arranged excursions, and accomodated us when we arrived early AM (morning train) and checked out late (evening flight)

Riad Les Trois Palmiers is beautifully decorated and nicely located in the heart of the medina. The staff is friendly and tried to be helpful. However, the air-conditioning in our "upgraded" room was not working for two of the three nights of our stay, when the daily highs ranged from 108-111 degrees F (42-44 C)! The first night, we arrived late, and since my friend fell asleep immediately despite the heat, I didn't ask to change rooms. After I complained, the Riad got the air conditioning repaired (and offered to move us to a different room if necessary) for the second night. That night was quite comfortable, with functioning a/c. Then late on the last day, the a/c stopped cooling again, and the hotel staff kept saying that they thought it was "kind of" working and bringing us additional fans, rather than offering to move us to a different room. Apparently, they had been having problems with the a/c in that room for about 2 weeks but still chose to "upgrade" us to that larger room, even though the a/c was working in the room we had originally booked. I'm lowering my rating on their facilities and staff competence because of this. The Riad's "outdoor swimming pool" is tiny (about the size of a large jacuzzi), but it is swimmable, and the water is nice and cool, which was a saving grace during this heatwave. The quietness of the rooms was marred during the day by demolition/construction next door. Overall, this is a lovely place to stay, but make sure that your room's a/c is working!

We could not have been more pleased with our stay. The Riad itself is lovely, and Patrick (one of the owners) gave us the grand tour when we arrived, including showing off all of the construction work they had done to make the place what it is. (Being renovators of old houses ourselves, this was a treat.) He, Caroline, and the rest of the staff were fabulous and very attentive, including everyone from the chap who met our car to lead us to the Riad (don't bother trying it on your own the first time) to the entire kitchen staff. We had the Saadienne room, which was huge and well appointed. We did dinner one night at the Riad (served on the patio upstairs), which was lovely. The Riad is a short walk to the central square, and Patrick gave good recommendations. I whole-heartedly recommend and would happily return.

The Riad was beautiful. If I had to make any adverse comments it would be that the triple room we were in could do with a little more light and it was a bit noisy being off the central courtyard - having said that, don't let it put you off as it is truly lovely and the staff very helpful and English speaking. Enjoyed our walk in the Atlas mountains which was a bit treachorous, you definitely need walking shoes or trainers. Our hammam and massage were fantastic. As women travelling without men accompanying us, we received a lot of attention, mostly light hearted, but be prepared!!

This hotel was a serene paradise that excedes anywhere I have stayed for service, and only 5 mins walk from the central square. The staff were awesome in every way, and the owners were exceptionaly helpful and friendly. My only concern is that you will not find this place without help. Even if you think you will, that somehow you will mannage... you still won't. Make sure you have the hotel phone number before you leave, and you probably want a hand drawn map from the staff in case your phone doesn't work. No map I have seen on-line comes close to the truth. See the attached photo of the front door! It's SO worth finding though, you should stay here if you can.

Very charming place, quiet and beautyfull. Very nice decoration ( typicall morocco decoration). Very pleasant and efficient employees. Good mea: you can cook with us and they ex^lain the "secrets of the morocco cooking :salade marocaines, tajine de poulet au cotron, pastilla au lait... The owner (Patrick) gives us very good instructions for restaurants around and shopping and visiting great spots. I recommand without any hesitations this place for a great week-end in Marrakech. For having good sandwiches : le café des épices place des épices, for having a very typicall marakechi diner : Ksar Essa oussan (both in the medina, 10 minutes from the riad by foot). JD, France
