I spend more than 100 nights every year in hotels and have been to more than 60 countries on all continents, i.e. I've seen a range of hotels - this one could be amazing but due to lack of service it disappointed. The facilities (especially the spa, pool) and our room were excellent, but prices are quite high and service quality is insufficient: A few of the staff (bell boy, physio therapists, few of the waiters) were extremely helpful but everyone else was incompetent and unfriendly: Despite high season they had only 1 restaurant open, breakfast food/beverages was not replenished already half an hour before end of breakfast and despite an army of staff looking very busy, most staff does not speak English at all and almost nobody ever smiles in this hotel... I constantly wondered what makes the predominantly local customers come here when they could get much better service at the same or even lower prices in France, Spain or most other Mediterranean vacation hot spots...

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, is is virtually closed down, Jacuzzi's turned off, pool closed mornings, they do not cater for English language, access to beach areas and restaurants closed , basically other than the rooms and a restaurant, , the resort is totally closed , unless you want to spend big bucks on treatments, it is difficult to find your way around the resort, no one on hand to show you around the facilities, to enable clients to make the best of the facilities, none of the reception staff speak English, except limited on the front desk, But this is advertised as a Spa resort, with spa staff having a complete lack of language knowledge for the International traveller, This is definitely a Summer resort, and not recommended for the Winter, and it is aimed at the Russian/Ukraine market, desperately needs strong leadership, staff training for international clients, great facilities badly promoted and total blame on top management, I have to say thank you for the waiting staff, for there dedication to looking after us, and trying to understand the requirements of non Russian speaking Customers, standard and presentation of food excellent, but I have to say why would i go there when you have a well established Oreanada Hotel in the Centre of Yalta, Where every effort is made to cater for the International traveller, and it offers all advertised facilities in the Winter Months, In my opinion Respect Hall has much to offer for the International traveller, but needs to get its house in order, or close during the Winter months,

If you've never been to the Crimea before, you should put it on your "must go" list. The Yalta region is spectacular with soaring mountains, forests, beaches to rival the Med - and a spa hotel to rival the best. The Respect Hall is a superb hotel. The rooms are spacious in the extreme, clean, well-maintained and well-appointed. For those wanting a truly relaxing spa/fitness break, the facilities are excellent with a well-equipped gym, no fewer than nine different types of sauna and indoor (heated) and outdoor pools, all included in the room rate (that's what they mean by a "spa credit"). The service in the pool and spa area was also excellent - and there's an area around the pool with tables if you want to take a break from saunas to refresh with a drink, or a bite to eat. With views at one side over pleasant, palm-planted gardens to the Black Sea (and the enchanting Swallow's Nest perched high on a rocky outcrop) and impressive mountains with dramatic vertical drops to the other side, the location is excellent, though it's some way to the beach if you're hoping to combine spa with beach holiday. It's 15 minutes down but the walk back up the hill will take you a good 45 minutes. Taxis will take you to the local vineyards for wine-tasting, or to the town, for a modest price and there are some excellent restaurants in the area. The hotel's reception is pokey and a bit of a disappointment for such a vast hotel - but, let's face it, no one spends much time in reception when there are nine saunas, pools, massage treatments, gardens and beauty treatments to be enjoyed! The hotel's restaurant was the only real let-down. Not only was service desperately slow, though the food quality was generally good, courses arrived in any order. Plates were removed at lightening speed but, at breakfast time, it was not unusual to be served coffee with a salad starter, then the main breakfast course and cake at the same time! Travellers who may need to leave early can book to eat breakfas
