The Excelsior, Venice Lido Resort - Venice Lido, Venice

Absolutely great! We loved the hotel.

The hotel is wonderful, the problem is food and beverages are very, very expensive. The reason is: this is an historic summer hotel (with beach and swimming pool) and probably the most famous hotel in Venice cause the Cinema Festival; this is why price services are desorbited.I was twice in the Hotel des Bains also in the Lido and the problem was the same. The kind of clientele is classic and well or very well positioning in economic terms.

This was my first time in Venice. Although we only spent one night there, it was terrific. Hotel Excelsior was amazing. We had a sea view room which was very cozy and the sound of the sea was very soothing. We had a great view of the full moon. The Hotel taxi to and from San Marco was very nice and convenient. I would recommend Hotel Excelsior to everyone.

I had already many stays in this hotel and it was always very good. This time when booking by venere it was not announced in your homepage that the pool area and the terrasse and also the beach area were totally disturbed by steel constructions and terrible noise from work and workers all for preparations for the film festival. Therefor the price of € 405.- per night was much too high. Over all it was not a relaxing stay because of all these troubles! Additional I mention that the personal at the breakfast area is not friendly at all and that since many years. Nothing has changed. Also I never got an answer to my reviews which I always filled out for the former owner.

The pool and beach area were not open (no services provided) It was 25 - 30 during our stay and we booked on Lido island to be able to enjoy the pool and beach. We arrived from Florence looking for lunch however there was no lunch menu available, only snacks. The prices for everything were very touristy (over priced) which we did not expect. I would return in June - Sept when everything is open and there is full service but the price we paid did not reflect that there was no service at pool or on beach.

I would highly recommend this hotel. A free shuttle service operates to San Marco Square and to the Morano Glass factory. The facilities are first class and the staff are very helpful.

A lovely place to stay just before the start of the season. Very spacious room with lovely sea view. The waterbus to Venice made it a great place to stay on the Lido. It was well worth it for the walks around the Lido and along he beaches.

Hotel was awesome, room service was very expensive and food was bad. basically, don't eat there. Breakfast buffet was great though.

Maybe you could add a sauna or turkish bath to your wellness area

The Westin Excelsior was a very comfortable resort hotel located on the Lido. A shuttle boat brings guests to Piazza San Marco, with the ride taking just over 30 minutes. This luxurious hotel provides a quiet and relaxing place to stay that is close to, but not right in the middle of, Venice and all of its sights. I look forward to returning to this hotel.
